[TAIPEI - Wild Donkey / 野驢小餐館 😋]
其實已不是第一次來。上次剛開時來吃過已覺得很不錯但人不多點的菜㮔類有限,所以要等到這次人數多菜夠多試真了才結論。
屬於現代bistro,沒有像現在一堆已泛濫的fusion餐廳的花巧擺盤或刻意用大量不同食物味道放在一起,這餐廳的菜只把食物的原味呈現,看似簡單卻完全不簡單!
很喜歡這裡的蔬菜海鮮。除了很新鮮以外,風格像在吃威尼斯或靠地中海的歐陸菜,頗有風味。
主菜只有幾道選擇不多但都好吃。炸豬排再薄一點就跟米蘭箸名炸小牛排,而現在的厚度比較有口感。熟成的鴨胸有點像臘鴨,味濃而不膩。 安格斯Prime肋眼是我最喜歡的一道,肉瘦但夠嫩,烤得剛好而且有肉味。雖然還有一段距離,但我隱若看到Peter Luger的影子。
整晚唯一可挑剔的是意大利麵, 麵過濕偏軟,不然整晚就完美了!
This is not my first time visiting this bistro. My initial impression was good during my last visit when the restaurant was newly opened. As the dishes we ordered were limited with only two people, I wanted to wait til after this time, with more people to order more dishes, to give my comments.
Not following the current trend with overflow of fusion restaurants blending in many tastes together in their dishes, this contemporary style bistro primarily highlights the original flavour of each dish. This may seem simple but without leveraging the flavour of various condiments, achieving a desirable taste is certainly no easy task!
I like the vegetables and seafood here. Not only that they are fresh, but also the way they present their dishes is similar to authentic Venetian or Italian & Spanish regions around the Mediterranean Sea.
Selection of main courses is limited but they are well executed. If the pork schnitzel were to be thinner, it’d have a close resemblance of veal Milanese,while now can feel a better texture of the meat. The waxed aged duck gave an extra kick to the palate. My favourite dish of the evening is undoubtedly the Angus Ribeye steak. The meat is lean but tender enough. Of course it’s still a big difference, but I somehow see this style shadowing my all time favourite Peter Luger. The only set back are the pasta dishes, with the sauce being too watery and pasta itself can be more al dente. Otherwise the evening would be close to perfect.

向來我也極喜歡吃水果,素食後更是每餐蔬菜、水果不離手。意大利因為本身氣候和環境,非常有利蔬果生產;去過世界不同地方,意大利的新鮮蔬果叫我最念念不忘。
上星期出席了「 #歐洲味覺藝術 : #意大利蔬果大師之作 」的晚宴。這次的晚宴除了嘗到如何用蔬果製作不同好吃又美麗的菜式外(當中奇異果蛋糕和抺上蕃茄醬和羅勒的托斯卡納面包是我最喜歡的);還聽到不同生產商他們對蔬果的知識和專業見解,完全滿足到我這個「蔬果狂迷」。
其實,品質高又新鮮的食材,已經非常健康又滋味。You are what you eat,今天起就選擇最優質的蔬果吧!(而現在香港各大超市也有售,這也太方便太開心了吧~)

The presenters did not only impress everyone with their mastery in combining seasonal fruits in cooked dishes (the kiwi cake and the Tuscan bread with basil were my favourite), but the producers’ insights and passion when they shared their stories and thoughts really made the event simply unforgettable.

Recently, we found ourselves dining at a so-called sushi place (specifically running sushi / sushi go round / sushi train restaurant) with the weirdest sushi options. One sushi had a cherry on top, dyed part green and with whipped cream. It tasted gross and looked like an oompa loompa sushi.
So that inspired this video, 10 weirdest types of sushi.
