Resepi Shell :

300gm tepung gandum
170gm butter

1 tsp esen vanila
Acuan secukupnya

👩‍🍳Putarkan butter dan gula dgn senduk kayu atau spatula..x perlu mix kan lama sgt..masukkan telur dan esen vanila..masukkan tepung sedikit demi sedikit..uli hingga lembut..KLu adunan masih melekat kat tgn boleh tambah tepung sedikit.

👩‍🍳Letakkan doh tadi dlm acuan ikut nk tebal mana, sebelum bakar cucuk kat tgh dgn garpu..bakar pada suhu 170 darjah selama 25 minit..

Resepi Cheese Tart 🍓

250gm Cream cheese - keluarkan dari peti ais 20 minit sblm nk pakai
50gm gula Castor
1 biji telur
1/2 tsp esen vanila

👩‍🍳Putar cream cheese dan gula dgn mixer hingga berkrim, masukkkan telur dan esen putar hingga sebati. Masukkan dlm piping bag.

👩‍🍳Shell tadi boleh diletakkan dgn filling ikut citarasa..Frh letak blueberry dan strawberry(dh siap jual kat kedai bakeri)..lepas letak filling paipkan cheese tadi..bakar sekejap selama 5 minit dgn suhu 170 darjah. Cheese tart dh masak bila cream kat atas tu x melekat kat jari bila disentuh.

👩‍🍳Utk hiasan kat atas tu...ambik sedikit cream cheese yg dh putar tadi, letak pewarna..then lorek2 kan ikut kreativiti masing2..boleh guna lidi yg halus..Frh x kreatif so mcm tu la hasilnya😆👩‍🍳

Want to make cheese tart, you need to prepare the Shell first.. for one mix, you can get it in 60 Shells... This Shell is ready for a day before.. although this Shell is not as cute as the professional as prepared but the result is still

Shell Recipe:

300 gm of wheat flour
170gm butter
50 gm of sugar icing
1 eggs
1 tsp vanilla esen
Enough mold

👩 🍳 Spin butter and sugar with a wooden spoon or spatula.. no need to mix it for too long.. insert egg and vanilla vanilla essence.. insert flour little by little.. uli until soft.. KLu The mix is still attached to the hand can add some flour.

👩 🍳 Put the dough just now in the mold according to the thicker, before burning the middle with a fork.. burn at 170 degrees for 25 minutes..

Cheese Tart recipe 🍓

250 gm Cream cheese - removed from the fridge 20 minutes before wearing it
50 gm of Castor sugar
1 eggs
1/2 tsp vanilla esen

👩 🍳 Spin cream cheese and sugar with mixer until creamy, put eggs and ice creamy. Put it in the piping bag.

👩 🍳 Shell just now can be placed with the filling according to your taste.. Frh put blueberry and strawberry (sold at the bakery shop).. after putting the cheese pipe filling just now.. burn it for a while for 5 minutes with 5 170 degrees temperature. Cheese tart is cooked when the cream on the top doesn't stick to the finger when touched.

👩 🍳 For the decoration on the top... take some cream cheese that was spinning just now, put the dye.. then lorek it according to each other's creativity.. can use a smooth stick.. Frh not creative so it's like That's the result 😆👩 🍳

〈完美的一天 A Perfect Day〉

尋日（2019年7月21日）爭少少就係完美嘅一天。
It is almost a perfect day yesterday (21 July 2019).
我係一個普通嘅香港市民，八十後、基督徒、亦係天水圍人，尋日係星期日，我如常同太太出返九龍區嘅教會返崇拜，食完個晏就同太太同朋友去咗尖沙咀行街，之後喺海運戲院睇《反斗奇兵4》，然後食完飯就坐西鐵返屋企。

I am a normal Hong Kong citizen. Born in the 80's, a Christian who lives in Tin Shui Wai. Yesterday was a normal Sunday. I went back to church to join the worship with my wife in Kowloon, joined our friends for lunch in Tsim Sha Tsui, watched Toy Story 4 at the Grand Ocean cinema, and went back home after dinner by West Rail.

大約晚上十點幾喺柯士甸站上西鐵，上咗西鐵一切都好平常，直到接近十一點左右去到元朗站，月台上面傳來大叫「有人受傷、需要支援」嘅呼叫聲，而列車亦因為混亂無法開車，我就落咗去大堂睇一睇發生咩事，老婆留咗喺車廂入面。原來大堂果度一班喺閘入面嘅人已經開緊遮，佢哋俾一班閘外面身穿白色tee裇嘅人以木棍、水樽、棒球棍襲擊緊，出唔到閘。我最初觀察白衫人大約有四五十人左右，都係中年，亦有較年長嘅，識講廣東話粗口，兇神惡煞，非常激動。

At about 10pm, we were at the Austin Station, everything looked normal in the West Rail train. Our train arrived at Yuen Long Station just before 11pm, we heard a screaming, "Someone's hurt, we need backups!", and our train was stopped because of this confusion. I asked my wife to stay in the train, while I got off and went down to the station lobby to see what happened. Inside the gate, there were people holding their umbrellas up, defending from a group of gangsters who were all wearing white-shirts, attacking people inside the gate with wooden sticks, water bottles and baseball bats. People were trapped inside. There were around 40 to 50 white-shirt gangsters, mainly in their middle-aged, some were even older, shouted fiercely in Cantonese foul languages with agitation.

閘內地下留有鮮血血跡，我亦望到遠處閘外大堂有一名傷者受傷倒地，不斷俾白衫人凶緊，因為情況太危險我就無出閘幫手。我本身後退緊，打算上返車廂，就喺呢個時候閘內嘅市民突然全部退後，一湧而來，部份人衝入廁所，其他人就喺我身邊經過衝上扶手電梯梯同樓梯上月台，打算入車廂。

There were fresh blood stains on the floor inside the gate. Outside the gate not far away, there was someone injured, lying down on the floor, constantly threatening by a white-shirt gangster. I did not go out and help him due to the dangerous situation and I tended to go back up to the train. At that very moment, people inside the gate were suddenly moved back towards me. Some rushed into the washroom, others ran passed me and dashed to the platform through the escalators and staircase, and planned to reach the train for safety.

我見身邊有人跌倒，想幫又幫唔到手。然後白衫人已經殺到埋身，我正準備跑上扶手電梯上月台嘅時候就俾人從後襲擊咗後腦一下，我一邊跑一邊回望，睇到一個白衫人拎住枝棒球棍對住扶手電梯上面嘅人（包括我）大聲叫罵「 ___ 你老母」（第一個字聽得唔太清楚，請自行填充。）

Someone fell down next to me, I wished to help but I couldn't. The white-shirt gangsters were fast approaching, and I was about to rush back to the escalator. All of a sudden, I was attacked at my hindbrain, out of nowhere! I kept running and looked back at the attacker, it was a white-shirt gangster who was holding a baseball bat, yelling to the people (including me) on the escalator: YOU MOTHER _______ ! (I didn't hear it clearly, fill-in as you like)

我繼續上返月台，之後回頭望佢並無再追上嚟。我同其他乘客求奇衝入咗最尾一卡車廂，本身我都唔知自己流血，後來有其他乘客話我知我流緊血至知自己受咗傷。最後有啲熱心嘅乘客幫我消毒同包扎傷口（回想返先記得我咁大個仔都係第一次用M巾），同埋讓咗個位俾我坐。

I kept fleeing back to the platform, that white-shirt gangster had stopped chasing us. I went in the train with other passengers, and I did not even realized that I was bleeding until someone told me. Some very friendly passengers helped me to clean and wrap the wound (well, that was the first time I used sanitary pad), and nice enough to give me a seat.

過程之中我一邊用電話聯絡返老婆同佢報平安，佢話有人入咗車廂打人。而身邊嘅乘客都好不安，因為好擔心白衫嘅黑社會（我嗰刻至知原來係黑社會嚟嘅）會衝入嚟打人，好想快啲開車。同時亦開始有人話前面車廂（我係車尾）已經打緊，情況好混亂，好多人都好驚同鼓譟。唔知過咗幾耐（好似港鐵出咗聲明「詳細交代事件」，應該有寫詳細時間），我就坐返同一班列車去天水圍站，匯合返我老婆同遇到救護員，送咗去天水圍醫院，聯咗三針。我喺急症室等候期間，都不斷有被打受傷嘅人送入嚟急症室，估計有五至六個都係喺西鐵被襲的。

I was talking to my wife through the phone throughout the whole process. She told me that those gangsters were attacking people inside the train. Passengers around me were extremely worried, we were all afraid that those white-shirt Triad gangsters (now I knew they are Triad) will storme in and attack. We all hope that the train will move out from the station soon. At the same time, people were saying that there were attacks at the train head (I was at the tail), we were all in confusions and panics. After some minutes (looks like the MTR has made a statement regarding the detailed time), the train has finally moved, and I arrived Tin Shui Wai Station at last. I found my wife, we went straight to an Ambulanceman and admitted to the Tin Shui Wai Hospital afterwards, where I had my three stitches done. While I was waiting in the Emergency Room, 5 or 6 more injured people were sent in due to the West Rail attack.

急症室當值嘅警察都有主動問我係咪需要報案，我考慮咗一陣最後都同意咗，後來重案組亦係大約兩三個鐘後嚟同我落口供，佢問完個人資料之後，第一個問題就係問我有無出去遊行。我答無，佢好似有少少疑惑，我就拎返我張染咗血漬嘅《反斗奇兵4》嘅票尾比佢睇，佢先至再繼續同我落口供。最後我搞到清晨五點幾至返到屋企。

Policeman stationed in the Emergency Room has asked if I need to file a report. I had agreed after some consideration. The Crime Unit has also arrived after 2 to 3 hours to take my statement. After taking my personal information, he asked directly, "Did you join the protest march today?" I said, "No". He looked doubt. I took out the Toy Story 4 ticket stained with my blood and showed him, then he stopped questioning me. Eventually, I went home at about 5am.

其實本身尋日都係好平常嘅一日，同老婆行街、睇戲、食飯。之前我一直都有留意社會上發生嘅事，知道社會瀰漫住好多負面情緒。所以尋日我本身都打算俾自己抖一抖，放低時事一日。無奈就喺我休息、喺我最平常嘅生活當中，遇上咗無差別嘅襲擊，正所謂「我唔搞政治、政治一樣會嚟搞我」。我俾人扑濕，一定係我有做錯，而我最錯嘅係咩？我諗應該係因為我睇咗美帝嘅卡通電影。

It was a very normal day yesterday - shopping with my wife, watching movie, have a great dinner. I know what had happened lately in this city and how desperate people are these days. So I planned to have a relaxed day and free from the news. The ironic part is, on the day I was trying to rest and have a life, it was the day I encountered the indiscriminate attack. There is this saying, "you don't mess with politics, politics will mess with you eventually". I was attacked, so I must have done something wrong? What did I do wrong? Oh, I guess it must have been about me watching the American animation.

我知道我受嘅傷，同喺中上環俾警察無預警下開槍射傷嘅市民比，實在係微不足道（其實佢哋更應被關注！）。不過身邊聽到我經歷嘅朋友都好驚、好忿怒，其實我都係好忿怒、好無助，我地都無辦法明白到底點解坐西鐵返屋企會俾黑社會打，而點解警察又唔嚟阻止？但我更加感受到嘅係市民果種恐懼同絕望感，人群閃躲之際有人跌倒，有人落單，大家衝入車廂果陣會唔會發生人踩人？我老婆都陪伴咗個受驚而情緒失控嘅少女。大家都好驚、好恐懼、好絕望、好furious。人係受威脅之下，會出現figh-or-flight的反應，喺腎上腺素嘅驅使之下，一係會反擊，一係會逃走，但手無寸鐵嘅市民被圍困係車廂中被人撳住嚟打，既不能fight , 又不能flight，果種絕望同恐懼的確唔係三言兩語講得明白，往後嘅心理創傷同陰影烙印，可以係一生之久。

Comparing to those protesters shot by the Policemen without warning in Sheung Wan and Central, I was nothing (we should pay more attention to them instead!). But friends around me were shocked and outraged about my attack. To be frank, I was shocked too. Who would imagine that attack will come when I was just taking the West Rail train back home? And where were the Policemen when we need them? And most of all, I experienced the same fear and desperation with the passengers. People were dodging, falling down, left behind, there could be stampede when we rushed back to the train! My wife had also stayed and comforted a young girl who had almost lost control because of the frightening situation. Everyone was afraid, worried, hopeless and furious. When people are being threatened, there is a response called "fight-or-flight". The adrenaline will drive you to either fight back or take flight. Unfortunately, when we were unarmed and trapped inside the train, we cannot fight back, we cannot take flight, there is no word to describe the despair and fear in that scenario. The psychological trauma and shadow can be life-long.

的確，喺某啲人眼中，無論我係幾無辜被打，我走得慢所以我都依然係抵死，又或者一定係我經過元朗所以抵打。但我呢刻已經無力去鬧爆佢哋，咁做對我嚟講亦係無乜意思。我唔覺得襲擊我嘅人有幾大機會會被繩之於法，我亦都唔想停留喺去點樣出呢啖氣。難道戰爭中國家的政府會為一個被殺嘅平民作出調查麼？戰時社會有戰時嘅生存法則，我不得不面對現實：香港其實同戰爭社會已經無乜大分別，香港警隊同呢個政府係點做嘢，我已經無興趣知。

Some people may say, regardless of how innocent I am, that still, I was to blame. Maybe I ran too slow so I was meant to be attacked. Maybe I passed by Yuen Long so I should have known it better. I do not want to debate with their accusations, it is meaningless anyway. In my believe, there is no hope in taking the attacker down in my case, and I have no intention to take revenge. You see, when there is war in a country, the government will not take it serious when a citizen got killed. Wartime society has its own law of survival, and I have to deal with this reality: Hong Kong is in war now, and I have zero interest in what the HK Police Force and the government will take serious into.

但我都仍然想表達，香港人真係好有愛，喺亂世之時，大家都仍然能夠守望相助，我感受到被愛。車上嘅乘客不斷安慰我，不斷喺有限嘅物資之中幫我消毒止血做急救，救護員都幫咗我好多，我嘅朋友本身已經返咗喺市區嘅屋企都衝返入嚟睇我，亦有朋友係專登揸車入嚟，我嘅屋企人陪我喺急症室等通宵。所有朋友嘅安慰、慰問同祝福我都感受到。

There is one thing I must say. Hong Kong people are really full of passion. During this chaotic time, people are still willing to look after each other. I am blessed with their love: Passengers on the train have comforted me, treated my wound carefully when there is lack of first-aid materials; the professional treatment by the Ambulancemen; some friends have even rushed back after arriving their homes in downtown, one even drove his car all the way to the hospital; my family who have stayed with me in the Emergency Room throughout the whole night; all the comforts, loves and blessings from my friends…I am so blessed.

我唔係想講受襲嘅事唔重要，或者我要淡化、粉飾太平，我相信任何一個有良知嘅人都會對所有尋晚係西鐵上無辜受襲嘅市民感到心痛同忿怒。不過，我亦知道我哋呢種忿怒已經無處可容，因為呢個社會嘅制度已經崩壞，極權肆虐到一個點係唔可能再容許我哋有自己嘅思想同感受。塗鴉一個圖案可以係破壞政府管治基礎嘅底線，如此荒謬嘅話仲係出自一區首長之口，譴責圖案受破壞，比危殆嘅人命還緊要，我就明白到，無人性嘅極權眼中又點會睇到平民百姓人命價值嘅可貴？呢個邪惡嘅政治制度不過係想透過「收買人命」嘅恐慌嚟製造威權管治嘅理由，逼使人民放棄思想同抗爭，做個順民去拜服極權，等佢哋以為自己可以千秋萬世。

I will not say that the attack is not important, or lighten it up or paper over the cracks. Anyone have conscious will definitely be heartbroken and ambushed about the attack at the West Rail. But the truth is that, our outrageous has nowhere to escape. Our society system is corrupting, the totalitarianism is raging brutally to a point where no one is allowed to have their own thinking and feeling. When a simple graffiti is an act to test the bottom line of the government's governance, when the Chief Executive ridiculously condemns the destruction of a symbolic device more than the vicious attack to innocent citizen, I know that our lives have absolutely no values to these senior officials. This evil political system is taking lives, creating the chaos and the reason for their stuck-up governance, forcing the people to give up fighting, while eventually the people will worship them as gods with their kingdom lasts forever.

但係，在荒謬絕倫、置身喺邪惡陰謀嘅被襲經驗之中，我感受到身邊仍然有可愛嘅人，無論係素未謀面嘅乘客、救護員、定係我嘅朋友同家人，係佢地嘅愛同關心，使我能夠克服果種面對荒謬時嘅無助感，令我能夠有信心繼續行落去，有勇氣去面對果份無可躲避嘅恐懼，有盼望去戰勝果啲因擔心無差別隨機攻擊而帶嚟嘅心理壓力。

However, in this ridiculous attack experience under the evil conspiracy, there are lovely people around me: passengers , Ambulancemen, friends and family, for their loves and comforts give me the strength to overcome the helpless feeling throughout this absurd situation, the faith to move on, the courage to face the inevitable fear, and the hope to concur the in-depth pressure caused by the desperation of the indiscriminate attack.

昨日的我，經歷了被襲擊，令我完美的一天不再完美，但我卻在遭害和恐懼當中發現了愛和勇氣，是香港人守望的愛。

I was attacked yesterday, and it made my perfect day imperfect. But I found love and courage in the time of danger and fear. Hong Kong people do watch over for each other.

是的，香港人很有愛，所以我們值得擁有比現在更好的社會領袖和政治制度，We deserve better。因為你們有愛，所以我能夠不再怕遭害。因為你們有愛，所以我能夠堅持這個心願。因為你們有愛，所以我有信心香港人能夠一齊撐落去。

HongKongers are so full of love, that is why we deserve better society leaders and political system. We DO deserve better. Because of your love, I do not fear the danger. Because of your love, I can hold tight to hope. Because of your love, I have faith that HongKongers can stick together and make our own future.

拒絕任何動物表演行為
去泰國不要騎大象看大象表演🐘

前陣子因為朋友阿莫去了趟大象志工，講述了許多故事與知識，覺得非常必須統整起來跟大家分享...(文長)。---at Elephant Nature Park(ENP)

▲簡單的認識是:
不鎖、不勾、不騎、不沖涼、不馬戲

Simple check list for elephants:
NO chain, NO bullhocks, NO ride, NO bath, NO performance

▲兩個關於大象的經歷:
🐘Mae Yu
1984年生
數度被強迫交配、搶走小孩，加上過度工作前腳受傷無法行走整體狀況極差，在被救援後不管大家如何努力她都沒有求生意志... 在嘗試各種方法後，大家決定幫她找回孩子。

非常幸運的，真的在馬戲中找到她的孩子Boi。
在他們相見那天，他們叫喊聲是響遍山谷的，維持許久(工作人員甚至也從沒聽過那樣的叫聲)，他們相認相擁。終於Yui恢復進食，狀況才慢慢好轉。

他們真的真的非常幸運...因為被勞役、被拿來娛樂的甚至還有數千隻，他們有許多老了、跛了、瞎了，還有心理出狀況的。

🐘Mae Boonjan
在多次受孕後，最後一次生小孩時因為知道自己的孩子又快要被帶走，讓他想踩死自己的小孩Zuki，被馬戲訓練師制止並帶走。

在多次的打擊和崩潰而精神出了問題的Boonjan，在被救援後也還是無法與其他象和平共處，目前在林中依然獨處孤獨的生活著。

雖然ENP將Zuki找回，但也許因斷奶太久，Boonjan並不太認得自己的小孩，加上Zuki天生的缺陷也讓他不久後就夭折了。

被救援的象並不是免費的，在泰國一隻小象就要200萬泰銖，就算沒有利用價值的老象也要價幾十萬，因為他們還是可以被迫受孕，或奪走象牙、製作皮包.......。

*2/24 經歷更新：
在ENP陸續救援的數十隻象中，大部分都願意重新相信人類，但也會有無法平息苦痛與怒火的象⋯。例如其中一隻已傷害了不少人，在救援後甚至會試圖將靠近柵欄的人捲進去。

⋯過去他在馬戲工作，因選擇反抗而被戳瞎了眼(為了讓他失去方向感而乖乖就範)，後來剛烈的他也許帶著赴死決心更強烈的反抗，導致他連左耳都被割下半只，最後被麻醉制服。人們不敢再靠近他，也決定要活活餓死他。

他的怒火，或許帶著超越我們想像的恐懼⋯。
被救援的他還是走來走去、發出尖叫聲、並試圖脫離圍欄。我們能同理，卻也真的無法體會他過去所承受的痛苦。

▲更多的是:
1. 香蕉對大象而言就像人類的甜食，其實吃多了也不好。
2. 大象用氣味辨識人，像聞鞋子、腳。

3. 大象甩耳是為了散熱，因耳朵遍布血管所以散熱快，並幫助身體降溫。

4. 大象有些喜歡玩水，但也有不喜歡的，而且會怕冷。他們喜歡泥巴浴可以保濕、驅蚊，觀光行程中的幫大象洗浴容易導致皮膚乾燥甚至潰爛。

5. 正常的象是有弧度的山丘狀背部，他們的脖子、象鼻強壯，可捲起500kg重物。但象背很脆弱，終年被騎乘下來背部會塌陷，有些甚至會導致膝蓋無法彎曲，連睡覺都要站著。

6. Phajaan儀式，會將象單獨關進一個只能站立的木製牢籠，除了剝奪水和食物外，他們還會不斷撥放噪音讓象保持清醒。

用尖銳的竹籤或釘子刺進他的腳趾、用象勾劃破耳朵。早晨和傍晚還必須被象勾抽打一小時。當象虛弱得無法站立時還會套上繩索勒住他們的頸部。

Phajaan 就是毀壞，摧毀象的意志，讓他們崩潰...再利用恐懼來進行"訓練"。而訓練的每一天都還是持續地被折磨...。

7. 被囚禁的他們運氣好的話一天能喝5-10公升的水(原應是140-200)，只有乾棕櫚葉可吃。很多不聽話的象甚至被打斷腿...。

8. 大象強暴：許多象媽媽是被強迫交配的，他們的身心受到極大傷害，甚至一聞或看到公象就會拼命逃跑，但同時因為被鐵鍊鍊住的狀態導致他們臀部塌陷後肢殘障(Bualoi is one of them)。

9. 小象除了爸媽之外還有保母，保母會擔起照顧的責任亦步亦趨。爸媽一定會盡全力保護小象，反抗盜獵者的最後可能就是被殺掉...包括保母，他們才能帶走小象。

10. 被救援的象恢復期可能需要1-2年才能回到[較健康]的狀態，有些甚至在被解開鐵鍊時會強烈驚慌害怕到尿失禁，有人靠近就會要自己舌頭，也完全不敢進食⋯。

*2/28更新：
Ploy Thong 雙眼失明，估計約30歲，他於泰國芭堤雅待了16年，日復一日從大早到日落的載著遊客，用象鼻嗅探方向。在更早之前也曾待在馬戲團中。

在解救Bua Keaw時大象基金會的志工注意到Ploy的痛苦而與他的主人進行談判，終於去年(20180203)被ENP營救。到達象園的他發出低沈的聲音，吸引了在不遠叢林中的象群，他們都紛紛趕上前去迎接他，大家用象鼻親切的撫摸這隻盲象，象鼻纏繞著彼此。猜想他必定永遠不會忘記新家庭成員們的溫暖。(如有興趣可關鍵字搜尋Ploy Thong，此段有影片紀錄）

▲小插曲：
隔著一條河，位在ENP對面的即是以營利為目的的象營。可以看到他們一天到河邊洗了好多次澡，皮膚脆弱乾燥常常有傷口。那的象伕腰間掛著長勾，讓大象學人的姿勢坐下跪下以方便大家拍照，最後再讓他們騎上他的背，一次幾百塊。

阿莫問了ENP的工作人員：「難道都沒有大象逃跑過來嗎？」
他說：「幾個月前有一隻小象逃了過來，當時所有大象都停下動作，並走向這個孩子。

但很快的，他就被對面的公司捉回去了。當晚對面的河岸邊傳來小象的哭喊尖叫，而接下來的一個禮拜他都沒有再出來載客。(通常會被關在籠中防止逃跑，禁食挨餓，也免不了毒打)

那晚，園裏的大象們到了睡覺時間依然躁動、議論著、很不平靜。大家心裡也都十分難受卻都無能為力，因為一隻小象要價上百萬，而救援清單中還有200多隻狀況更緊急及情況更糟的大象們⋯。

除了希望大家把資訊傳遞出去外，也能一起祈求這隻小象、及其他還在受傷害的象們都能被更善待、被釋放，回歸自由與平安。

🐘Mae Yui
''Mae Yui was the first elephant we rescued for this project. At that time, she was emotionally very ill. No matter how hard we tried to treat her wounds, she didn’t care. No willingness to thrive.

Mae Yui was forced to mate for three times and each time, her babies were taken away by the mahouts to undergo "Phajaan". Last time afterwards, she refused to work. That’s why the previous owner sold Mae Yui.

Fortunately, ENP actually found Mae Boi, the young baby of Mae Yui.

When Mae Yui and Mae Boi reunited. The moment they saw each other, they were roaring so loud, for so long. Anyone who heard that can deeply understand elephants are highly sentimental animals.

Once her baby Mae Boi returned, Mae Yui recovered shortly.''

🐘Mae Boonjan
The past of Mae Boonjan was as tragic as Mae Yui. She has been forced to breed for a few times in the industry (conventional practice). When she gave birth to her last baby Zuki, she knew the trainer would come and take it away soon. Or maybe Zuki was born disable - Mae Boonjan decided to kill her own baby.

And of course her mahout won’t let her do that (commercial considerations) – he stopped her and took away Zuki. Later ENP also rescued Zuki. However they separated for too long and Mae Boonjan could hardly remember Zuki. They didn’t make the bonding again. Since Zuki was born with defects, it died soon.

Mae Boonjan didn’t go along well with the group. She prefers to roam around on her own, quietly in the jungle.

The rescued elephant are not for free. In Thailand, a baby elephant will cost 2 million baht. Even if the old elephant without value is worth hundreds of thousands, they can still be forced to conceive, or take away ivory or make leather bags. ....

*2/24 update:
Among the dozens of elephants rescued by ENP, most are willing to believe in human beings again, but there are also some that can not calm the pain and anger... For example, one of them has hurt many people, even tried to involve people who near the fence after rescue.

In the past, he worked in a circus and was stabbed blind for choosing to resist (he was obedient in order to make him lose his sense of direction). Later, he might have the determination to die, and resist even stronger, which led to his left ear being cut off, and the end he was overcome by anesthesia. People were afraid to be closer any more and decided to starve him to death.

His anger, perhaps with more fear than we can imagine...
Now he was still walking around, screaming and trying to get out of the fence. We can understand, but never can really feel the pain he has experienced in the past.

1. Bananas for elephants are like our sweets.
2. Elephants use smell to identify people, like shoes and feet.

3. Elephant's ear is for heat dissipation. Because the ear is spread over the blood vessels, it dissipates heat fast, helps body cool down.

4. Depends on different personality, some of elephants love playing in water, some not, also, they are afraid of cold. They love mud baths to moisturize and repel mosquitoes. “Elephant bath” for tourist can easily lead to dry skin and even ulceration.

5. The normal elephant back is a curved hill-shaped. Their neck and trunk are strong and able to roll up 500 kg. However, the back is very fragile. When be riding all the year round, elephant's back will collapse. Some will even cause their knees unable to bend, that they can only stand sleep.

6. The Phajaan ceremony will separate the elephant into a wooden cage that can only stand. In addition to depriving water and food, they will continue to release noise to keep the elephant awake.

Use a sharp bamboo stick or nail to puncture elephant's toes and use bullhock to cut ears. Be beaten for one hour every morning and evening. When elephants are too weak to stand, they will put on the ropes to hold their necks.

Phajaan means ''destroying'', destroying elephant's mind, letting them collapse... so they can "train" them by fear. And training is still being tortured...

7. If they are lucky, they can drink 5-10 liters of water a day (it should be 140-200), and only dry palm leaves can eat. Many of the disobedient elephants even had their legs broken.... (Bualoi is one of them)

8. Many mothers are forced to mate, their body and mind are greatly hurt, when they smell or see the male elephant, they will straight run hard, but at the same time, because of the chained state, their hips collapse and hind limbs are disabled.

9. In addition to the parents, the baby elephant has a babysitter, and the babysitter will take responsibility for the care. Parents will do their best to protect family. The last thing to fight the poachers is to be killed...including the babysitter, so poachers can take baby elephant away.

10. The recovery period of the rescued elephants may take 1-2 years to return to a [healthier] state, and some will be super terrified when the chain is untied.

*2/28 Update:
Ploy Thong, blind, around 30 years old, spent 16 years in Pattaya, Thailand, taking tourists day in and day out from dawn to sunset, sniffing directions with his trunk. He had been in the circus before.

In rescuing Bua Keaw, elephant foundation volunteers noticed Ploy's suffering, so they negotiated with his owner. Finally, Ploy was rescued by ENP last year (20180203). When he arrived the park, he made a low voice, which attracted the elephants in the forest not far away. They all came up to meet him. They caressed the blind elephant with their trunks and wrapped them around each other. Guess he would never forget the warmth of his new family. (if you are interested, please search keyword Ploy Thong, this section has a video recorded.)

▲ Episode:
Across the river, opposite ENP, is a profit elephant camp. You can see elephants showering many times a day by the river, their skin weak, dry and with cuts. And man with a long hook around his waist, he let elephants knelt down like human so that everyone could take pictures, then let them ride on his back (hundreds of dollars at a time).

Amor asked the ENP staff: "Didn’t any of the elephants escape?"
"A few months ago there was a baby elephant run away, that time all the elephants stopped and went to the baby," he said.

But soon, he was caught back. That night the baby elephant screamed and cried loud across the river, and he did not come out to take any passengers for a week. (they were often kept in cages to prevent escape, starved them, fasted and beaten)

That night, the elephants were still restless, and talking at bedtime. There's nothing we can do for it, because a baby elephant costs millions of dollars, and there are more than 200 elephants on the rescue list who were in more urgent or worse conditions...

In addition to hoping that everyone can pass on the information, please also pray for this baby elephant and other who injured, to be treated better, released, and return to freedom and peace.

Welcome to Electrical Labs. Every student and staff that needs to enter the Electrical Labs is required to watch this safety briefing video and is also required to answer a set of questions. Your awareness of the importance of laboratory safety makes yourself become eligible to utilize the laboratories throughout the semester.

Please ensure that you wear proper attire. Slippers (flip-flops) are strictly prohibited, let alone barefoot.

Read all the posters that you see. Blue: Important! Green: Information. Yellow: Caution! Red: Danger!

There are several long information regarding the standard operating procedure (SOP), policy and officials contact numbers that need to be reached during an emergency. Please read the information on the wall. You may snap its picture using your camera and read it before you go to bed. Don’t let those information posters only become the wall decoration, but fill your chest (mind) with our safety procedure.

In case of emergency that requires evacuation, …

Make sure you know how to answer these three questions:
Do you know all exit doors?

The main exit can be opened by pressing the Press button.
Other doors can be opened manually. Make sure they are unlocked. If locked, please report it to the lab person-in-charge (PIC).
Make sure the EXIT lamp lights up. Do a simple test. If it is not functioning, please report it to the lab PIC.
Make sure there is no obstacle along the exit route. If yes, please report it to the lab PIC.

Question: If evacuation is required, where do we need to go? Canteen (café)? Toilet? Prayer room?

That is a good question. At every main door, we have prepared the emergency exit route plan to a certain location which is known as the Assembly Point. Please refer to it at the main door. If not available, please report it to the lab PIC.

In the incidence of (small) fire that you are able to deal with, use the provided fire extinguisher. Make sure you know the location of the fire extinguisher. Make sure the reading of pressure meter is normal. If it is used, report it to the PIC.

The steps [in using the fire extinguisher]: PASS

Pull-Aim-Squeeze-Sweep

The fire extinguisher can only be used once. Right after using it, make a report to the PIC.

In the occurrence of a minor accident that you are able to deal with, use the first aid kit properly. Every usage of the item in the kit must be recorded for the purpose of replacement.

Be aware of the emergency switch location. If your friend got an electric shock, use the wooden stick properly. And don’t open the 415 Volt electrical panel without the knowledge of the lab PIC.

After using the lab, please practice the 5S procedure for the benefit of all parties.

Finally, every problem related to safety, minor or major injuries, please make a report to the officials within 24 hours. Any damages incurred must also be reported to the lab PIC.

[We won’t punish you. The report will be used for incident prevention.]

STEPS
1. Use acrylic paints to paint the whole wood pellets
2. Paint the wood boards as well
3. Apply glue to combine two pellets together to become one piece, do same to anterior two pellets
4. Apply staple gun to secure the joint points of the pellets
5. Glue on the bottom side of one piece of pellets then stick to the long board
6. Apply glue on the other piece of the pallet, stick to the long board to make it look like a stand
7. Apply staple gun to secure the join points
8. Decorate with a blackboard and hooks

① (3rd story)Apply grass stickers to wooden box
② Place animal toys on the box.
③(1st story)Apply temporary tattoos on the side of box
④Apply binder clips on the long side to hold the other box.
⑤(2nd story) Flip over another wooden box and cover on the box of 1st story. The binders clips keep the box matched. Then apply the glue on the back of the box.
⑥ Stick the box of the 3rd story on the box of 2nd story with temporary tattoos decorations.
⑦ Place the power cord at the bottom box, plug in the charger cable
⑧ Pull out the cable from the box handles and have it go through the box up to the top box.
⑨ Connect the table with the mobile phone!
