大型相機（Large Format Camera）又稱「四五機」，其底片的尺寸剛好是四吋乘上五吋，屬於底片相機分類當中，尺寸上較大的格式，至於為什麼說是較大，其實在往上仍有8x10、甚至是20x24的相機尺寸，在一些瘋狂的攝影計畫當中，用數公尺與飛機坪當作曝光範圍的攝影師也不在少數，故這類相機可以說是打開了「底片大一級、畫質壓死人」的大門。
　
實際上這些相機本身與周邊（腳架）也是重得驚人，因此「壓死人」這件事情對攝影師來說是真實發生的事情。
　
#頁式底片（Sheet Film）
　
相比起我們常用的135與120底片（Roll Film），這類底片往往具備片匣系統，再沖洗的時候可以針對每一張底片做分別沖洗細節的調整，與捲式底片不同，往往暗房工作中取的是一個平均值，在暗房中做細部的調整。
　
頁式底片由於面積與設計上較簡單，所以18世紀開始的相機從濕版、火綿膠，一直到後來現代用專業建築用相機，都採用類似的單雙軌道、前鏡組後片匣的設計。
　
許多攝影師也會自己製作鏡框與機身結構，在現代自已完成從自己雙手打磨的底片相機！#Whatevergraphy
