Inside the sweet potato layer was a smooth 🌰chestnut paste and also mini chewy dried sweet potato cubes! With black sesame and desiccated coconut, sounds too much? Every flavor and texture somehow compliments one another! Genius.

• Strawberry Kakigori was lovely 【銀座かつかみ Ginza Katsukami, Ginza Tokyo.】 The pedigree of this shop in Tokyo is well known, but unfortunately this was a disastrous meal to me. Every single item that came was tough as chewing gum. And the Chef & team kept saying in Japanese how good each individual cut will taste perfectly, but it doesn’t. I am not usually a complainer but every single dish here was a let down... some Pork cuts even carried a stink from I think bad aging techniques (it smells like a fart!), except for the Kakigori. ¥4,500 Yen for full Lunch Tasting Course. Great Concept - but let down by execution and failing the taste test, surprised its so far off the mark coz it looked legit on the photos & concept 😔 ... @ 銀座かつかみ
I found a package of cute rainbow syrups for only 200yen (2bucks). And I bought droppers at DAISO (100yen shop). It was like a fun color experiment for kids 🌈😂
The late summer heat is severe in Tokyo so we still crave for shaved ice. How is the weather over there?
