Wanted to head for #Melaka but ended up up-north in #Ipoh #Perak instead. Had a few times shooting sessions for different dramas / telemovies projects but never really played tourist around the town . This was the short but fruitful effort fulfilled . To seek and fulfil my #bucketlist as to why #YasminAhmad has so much #love for this town that made her shoot in Perak over and over again and her beautiful backgrounds + shots around this vintage-nostalgic town .

It was indeed an eye-opener to find many little details in each corner I stepped on, there seems to be very detailed on those buildings built or torn down during the world war ll Or even being abandoned by owners for many respective reasons . I feel so sayang when I look at some of the old shop houses being torn down / not well kept . Some actually kept it very well & painted it to make it look as new as though the #buildings has just been build, turning them in to a museum or cafes .

Watched many of her #TV #Commercials she did made me teared a couple of times. Sobbing as well in the the room of little space with bean bags and a few audiences, laughed in tears included . I think the commercials she did touches my heart all over again, its as if I am just watching a story being told, sincerely . On second thought, it is because it never has been the same feeling watching commercials these days; not without her story-telling styles in mixed race cultured up-bringing stories or mixed marriage stories. Which be truth, it is how it should be shown on tv. I missed her #Petronas commercials the most . It just doesn't feel the same .

穿過怡保的一條斑駁老街，巷弄海南咖啡店門楣上傳來逗趣的錄音：“你叫甚麼名？我叫雅思敏”，這段熟悉的聲音正是我們致愛的已故導演雅思敏阿末（Yasmin Ahmad）。6年驟逝，風袖留住清香，後人仰止而高，經過身邊友人的一年集資，在2014年以“雅思敏在光興”（Yasmin at Kong Heng）為名的故事館正式駐腳在她身前最愛的這座小鎮，集合了聲光色影延續著她作品傳達的母題――愛與寬容。
經營了短短的一年，上個月從她胞妹Orked口中獲知，面對資金不足也無法獲得有關官方機構的支持，這間故事館僅能維持至今年年尾。不同的是，在北上檳榔嶼的已故導演P.南利故事館，卻受到州政府高度重視，亦獲得文化部撥款贊助，如此一來解決了永續經營的問題，也讓馬來亞獨立前後最輝煌的光影時代繼續流傳。雖然雅思敏阿末生前執導的作品數量不及P.南利來得多，可從我國兩個時代的影像脈絡所記錄的人文景觀而言，同屬功不可沒，雅思敏阿末一生中在6部電影和無數的公益短片解放的族群心戒，可惜官方卻將她宣廣的“寬容”視為不符“國情”，當政者固步的權柄、自封權閹，任誰都改變不了。
