美國在台協會很榮幸與台灣原住民族委員會合作，在上週為超過100位台灣原住民女性舉辦兩場「百合綻放新創學程」(IWE) 說明會，AIT文化新聞組組長蘇戴娜邀請女性小型企業主和創業家參加IWE，透過工作坊和講座等，奠定商業基礎實力，與創業導師和同儕建立人脈網落。
這也是AIT蘇組長第一次造訪台東和屏東，體驗台灣原住民文化的美麗、豐富與活力。她欣賞了屏東三地門排灣部落的迎賓舞，也拜訪了在地藝術、工藝和商業攝影領域的原住民新銳女性創業家，瞭解她們如何將原住民文化特色融入傳統產業中。

Last week, the Inspiring Women Entrepreneurs (IWE) Program, a collaboration between AIT and Taiwan’s Council of Indigenous Peoples, hosted information sessions at Pingtung Indigenous Cultural Center and Taitung TTMaker for over 100 indigenous women. AIT’s
Public Diplomacy Section Chief Diane Sovereign attended both sessions and encouraged women small business owners to join the IWE Program so they can explore the basics of business through workshops and network with their mentors and peers.
This was Diane’s first visit to Taitung and Pingtung, where she experienced a warm Paiwan tribe welcome dance in Sandimen and met some of the most inspiring indigenous women entrepreneurs in the fields of arts, crafts, and commercial photography. She also met local indigenous women entrepreneurs in Taitung who integrate indigenous cultural elements into traditional businesses.
