Many Christians are sincere about breaking free from sinful habits and bondages, but they don’t have the revelation on how to succeed in it.
“But sin, finding occasion through the commandment, produced in me all kinds of coveting. For apart from the law, sin is dead. I was alive apart from the law once, but when the commandment came, sin revived, and I died. The commandment, which was for life, this I found to be for death; for sin, finding occasion through the commandment, deceived me, and through it killed me.” (Romans 7:8-11 WEB)
Sin in the flesh is an opportunist who lies dormant in wait for the chance to rebel against what is good.
The more you tell it to do right, the stronger it will rebel by going on a rampage of wrongdoing.
This is why the strength of sin is the Law.
It is like dealing with a rebellious child who just finds pleasure in doing the opposite of what you tell him to do.
Your “I must not” and “Don’t do this” rules make sin in the flesh really bloodthirsty.
These rules, laws, and commandments have good intention, which is to produce a beneficial result by abstaining from unedifying activities, but it is a counter-effective method for the sinful flesh.
I suddenly understand why the apostle Paul wrote the following shocking statement;
““All things are lawful for me,” but not all things are expedient. “All things are lawful for me,” but I will not be brought under the power of anything.” (1 Corinthians 6:12 WEB)
“What? You mean it is lawful for me to sin as much as I want??”
Yes, it is, and God will never be angry with you or punish you for it because Jesus was already punished for your sins at the cross. This truth befuddles a legalistic person’s mind.
But ironically, when you say that all things are lawful, sin in the flesh remains “dead”, having no opportunity to rise up and go crazy.
People have good intentions of stopping sinful acts by creating laws, rules, and commandments, but they do not know that these only serve to empower sin in the flesh.
Take a moment to say this now: “All things are lawful for me!” When you say this, you will notice that you have no desire to sin, because sin remains dead when there is no law to stir it up.
That is not all that Paul said. He also said that even though all things are lawful to us born-again believers, not all things are expedient (profitable or beneficial).
Without sin in the flesh influencing our thoughts and desires, we can choose the best way to invest our time and focus. The most expedient choice would be to keep our eyes on Jesus and receive God’s word into our hearts.
Instead of choosing to be brought under the power of sin which brings nothing but death, I will choose to be brought under the power of the Holy Spirit to enjoy fullness of joy and peace!

Recreated as Truly Righteous and Holy
“Since you have heard about Jesus and have learned the truth that comes from him, throw off your old sinful nature and your former way of life, which is corrupted by lust and deception. Instead, let the Spirit renew your thoughts and attitudes. Put on your new nature, created to be like God—truly righteous and holy.” (Ephesians 4:21-24 NLT)
I read this somewhere, “I am an imperfect person who is loved by a perfect God”.
The right word should be “was” and not “am”. If you keep thinking that your identity is “imperfect”, then your self condemnation will cause you to be repeat sinful habits.
You are no longer the same person as before you got born again.
That “old man” was crucified with Christ and is now gone.
You (the reborn spirit) are truly righteous, blameless, and holy.
For the time being, God has designed that we should stay in our mortal bodies that is still tainted by sin, so that we must walk by faith, until we received our glorified bodies at the Rapture.
The flesh is where all the sinful passions and evil imaginations come from. It is just a temporary house that you are living in.
You do not manufacture sin in your spirit. God’s seed (spiritual DNA) remains in you and keeps producing righteous thoughts and desires.
Keep receiving the Gospel of Jesus Christ and find out who you truly are. Look at the glorified Christ. Everything He is, you also are in your spirit.
When you believe and confess it, God’s power is released, flowing out of your spirit, affecting your soul and body.
Declare: “I have been recreated as truly righteous and holy. I may be still sensing the sinful passions and evil imaginations of this body of flesh, but those are not from me. I am no longer that old man anymore. As Jesus is holy, blameless, and righteous, so am I in this world. I only manufacture righteous desires and thoughts, and my greatest joy is in doing what pleases God!”
In our Patreon community, we receive God’s word together daily, and there is a safe space for discussion as well. The patron group chat where I share Bible Study teachings in is called “God Every Morning (GEM)” because we can live a victorious Christian life when we receive an abundance of grace and the gift of righteousness consistently, and not just once a week. Make “Death Plants” Wither Away
“So then, brothers, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh. For if you live after the flesh, you must die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live.” (Romans 8:12-13 WEB)
The apostle Paul was addressing believers in the passage above—he said “brothers”.
We see that sowing to the flesh (indulging its lusts, cravings, and sinful passions) results in reaping earthly consequences of death, and this is not inflicted by God.
This is just the principle of sowing and reaping taking effect. This principle has been at work since God created the world.
“God said, “Let the earth yield grass, herbs yielding seeds, and fruit trees bearing fruit after their kind, with their seeds in it, on the earth”; and it was so. The earth yielded grass, herbs yielding seed after their kind, and trees bearing fruit, with their seeds in it, after their kind; and God saw that it was good…God said, “Behold, I have given you every herb yielding seed, which is on the surface of all the earth, and every tree, which bears fruit yielding seed. It will be your food.” (Genesis 1:11-12, 29 WEB)
We see from the Book of Proverbs that this principle of sowing and reaping is not limited to plant seeds, but also seeds like our spoken words:
“A man’s stomach is filled with the fruit of his mouth. With the harvest of his lips he is satisfied. Death and life are in the power of the tongue; those who love it will eat its fruit.” (Proverbs 18:20-21 WEB)
When we speak, we sow seeds of either life or death. These seeds can produce a harvest of fruits after its kind.
To understand sowing, look at the natural process of growing a plant seed.
A seed has to be planted in the soil (the human heart is like soil) and watered. It is a process that happens progressively over time, not instantly.
An exception to this is when God gives a miracle that compresses time. Otherwise, the process of sowing and reaping takes time to happen.
“Let no man say when he is tempted, “I am tempted by God,” for God can’t be tempted by evil, and he himself tempts no one. But each one is tempted when he is drawn away by his own lust, and enticed. Then the lust, when it has conceived, bears sin; and the sin, when it is full grown, produces death.” (James 1:13-15 WEB)
See how lust is depicted as a seed in the passage above. Firstly, it conceives when initially planted and watered in the heart, and begins to bear sin (the first occurrence of committing sin outwardly). The sin then keeps growing if constantly watered, and eventually when it is a full grown fruit, it produces death.
When sinful habits are constantly watered, the consequences become more severe. You can kill that plant when you stop watering it and instead spray some effective herbicide called “the Gospel of Jesus Christ”.
Such plants are also Satanic strongholds which can be destroyed by the “obedience of Christ”. Apply Jesus’ finished work to your situation and see how He has redeemed you from that habit through His sacrifice at the cross. He has made you the righteousness of God. You are now holy, just, blameless, and pure. Your reborn spirit does not manufacture sin and has no desire to.
You can also curse it to its roots and cause it to wither up, just as Jesus cursed the fig tree.
“Seeing a fig tree by the road, he came to it, and found nothing on it but leaves. He said to it, “Let there be no fruit from you forever!” Immediately the fig tree withered away. When the disciples saw it, they marveled, saying, “How did the fig tree immediately wither away?” Jesus answered them, “Most certainly I tell you, if you have faith, and don’t doubt, you will not only do what was done to the fig tree, but even if you told this mountain, ‘Be taken up and cast into the sea,’ it would be done. All things, whatever you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive.” (Matthew 21:19-22 WEB)
Instead of trying to break your sinful habit through willpower, secular counseling, or punishing yourself, use the power of your faith-filled spoken words.
Declare with me: “In Jesus’ name, I curse this death-bearing plant of _______ (the name of your sinful habit) to its roots. Let it wither away now and produce no more fruit forever. I have lost all desire to water this plant. I have been set free from the bondage, and I am the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. Amen!”
I want to see you free from all bondages of the enemy. In “Silencing the Serpent: How Christians Can Emerge Victorious in Spiritual Warfare”, you will learn more about destroying Satanic strongholds and yokes. This is very important to free yourself from long-time cycles of defeat they you can’t seem to break free from: https://bit.ly/silence-the-serpent-now

Hey lovelies, this may be a different video from my usual vlogs, I really wanted to share with you these important daily routine habits that have really truly helped me reset and develop a healthier mind. These habits have been something I do on a daily basis now, and with such ease. I would suggest to try doing a habit one at a time, until you feel comfortable and adapt it to your own pace. I am still learning and growing daily, and especially in times like these I believe it's what's been helping me keep my sanity. Haha.
