到洛杉磯週末小旅行，參觀派拉蒙影城、和芝加哥的老朋友好萊塢編劇林偉克敘舊。當年我剛從西北大學畢業，偉克在西北大學教電影寫作。八歲從台灣搬到美國，偉克中文竟還是超流利，也保有台灣人的真誠樸實，每次見到他，總讓人精神奕奕、正面能量一百！他也把台灣電影「真愛一百天」帶向國際。

他這幾年更成為二十年來首位入圍美國影藝學院「尼寇編劇獎」(Nicholl Screenwriting）的華裔編劇，也曾獲得編劇界備受矚目的「山謬高德溫寫作獎」(Samuel Goldwyn Writing Award)。在我心中，偉克是台灣版的電影La La Land追夢故事，也是我心中奧斯卡獎最佳得主。

Weekend getaway in LA. Attended Paramount Studio tour and had a dinner with Hollywood movie writer Weiko, who taught movie writing at Northwestern University when I just graduated from the school. We hanged out in the snowy Chicago for few winters.

His career is rising and he was recognized by Nicholl Screenwriting and Samuel Goldwyn Writing Award. In my mind, he is the real La La Land. He dreams and makes his dream come true. Two foreigners checking out military bases on Matsu islands which are right next to China! What could possibly go wrong?

A full weekend getaway filled with scooters, awesome views, tanks, bunkers, Matsu statues and watermelons! :)

We made a little mistake and did not realize that Matsu actually is a lot of separate islands. Hopefully you won't make the same mistake we did after checking out this video!

Ohh, and did I mention tanks and military bases?!
