Muslims Hindus Christians Sikhs walked for good in Kota Kinabalu yesterday. They prayed for world peace and raised funds for Kashmir Flood Relief.
Good Will Walk KK 2014 successfully completed. Muslims Hindus Christians Sikhs walked for good in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Malaysia, Borneo. We passed by a beautiful mosque and a church along the way. We did simran together as the #walkingborneo team of #nomadiclion #goldheartproject #geraksikh #unitedsikhs #gwwmalaysia #theflyingsingh played the ukelele while we all sang. We all stood together in the Gurdwara at the end prayed for world peace and raised funds for Kashmir Flood Relief. Thank you to the sangat that made this possible. I have never seen so many different races and religions live and pray together in so much harmony.

Day 41 of #walkingborneo - Mount Kinabalu
Nomadic Lion flying high up in the clouds. A proud moment as we raised the Nomadic Lion banner up high on top of Mount Kinabalu, South East Asia's tallest peak. 4095m
We felt very blessed with this opportunity to climb such a mighty mountain, a big thank you to Sabah tourism SABAH, Malaysian Borneo for sponsoring our climb.
We started out from the accommodation at 2:30am with a distinct lack of proper equipment but a lot of excitement and determination. We both really enjoyed the climb, even though it was lightly raining and we only had one torch between us.
When we reached the top we were both freezing cold as we were distinctly lacking in warm clothing but we braved the cold for more than 1 hour to enjoy the moment and take a few pictures. It was an amazing feeling to sit up amongst the clouds watching the mist roll by. It's defiantly one of the more memorable mountains we have climbed.

Day 36 of #walkingborneo - Ranau - Kundasang
A historic moment in our journey as we are just 100km from #KotaKinabalu .
Ever since we told people about our plans of walking through Sabah they all warned us about one area - Ranau to Kundasang. Everybody has been saying its a really steep climb, it will be so tough to walk, its uphill all the way etc. etc.
But as is often the case the toughest climb gives the biggest rewards.....
The scenery around here is just breathtaking. Coming up over the hill and have a clear view of #GunungKinabalu , South East Asia's highest peak - Priceless. From Telupid to Kundasang is one of the most memorable stretches we have ever walked, incredible scenery.
Just 3 days to go until we climb Mount Kinabalu........
