I've never felt envious of any Hollywood celebrity couple or felt that they have more than we do. Fame, power, luxury, wealth - these have never been the things either of us desire since the beginning of our love journey. All we ask for is an ordinary love story with a soulmate, a best friend, a partner to love for the rest of our lives.

Yup, it's the people, it's us, it's you and me who make the ordinary extraordinary. Thank you for being my extraordinary half for the past 15 years, for knowing that I don't need flowers or gifts but I do appreciate your presence (my love language is still quality time!), for being the best Dad I could ever want for my kids, for being my supporter and critic who makes me realises I can be stronger and better, for loving me in your little ways and letting me know that while true love doesn't run smooth, it can go on forever as long as we don't give up believing in it and in each other.

"Let love be your anchor and hope be your sail..."

Just 3 more days to a decade of marriage. Remembering our wedding bands which we designed ourselves using our initials 'J' and 'S'.

The main logo is in the shape of an anchor, in the hope that we can be each other's anchor for life and on the inside, the initials merge to form a wave in the hope that no matter how choppy the sea gets or how bad the storm blows, we will get over it as long as we are together.

P.S. The hubby is away for these few days but we did talk about going for a couple date on our anniversary - which was not surprisingly met with lots of protests from the kids because they just wanna be with us every minute. Yup, for now, while they are still young. I don't know, maybe sneaking out for a midnight movie will be the best we can do now. Well, let's see how it goes!

Eight more days to a full decade. Here's a throwback to our special day on 26th April 2008 at our beach wedding with our handpainted banner at the back. It was a magical night filled with love, music, booze, dancing and most importantly, the awesome company of our families and friends.

P.S. We don't have plans for a fancy celebration next week as the hubby might be away and in any case, the kids will be with us too. Nonetheless, it still makes me feel excited just counting down!
