That aside, can't help notice there are still many unstained fingers (on adults) after Election Day, and it's quite a sad thing to see.
I will not judge your reasons for choosing not to vote, but I guess majority are just not registered voters, like me for the previous election, at that time I was still studying in Taiwan, but no excuse you know. (Yes, I'm ashamed of myself and repented.)
So I made sure when I came back to Malaysia in year 2014, after I completed my degree abroad, the first thing I did was to register myself to be a voter.
To those who are clueless on how to register, here's what you need to know.
1️⃣ Head to the nearest post office and bring your IC along.
2️⃣ Fill in the voter registration form (Form A) and submit to the registrar.
3️⃣ Once the process is done, check for your details on SPR's website. (It may take awhile to update)
As simple as ABC!
If you know any friends or family members who are turning 21, or eligible voters, but haven't register, bring them, remind them, pressure them! It's never too late, there's always the next election!
Can't stress this enough, Every.Vote.Counts.
And for this GE14, I can proudly say I've done my part as a citizen of Malaysia.
