I messaged you in the beginning season about my first bike I bought which was a ninja 250r. The group of my friends that I rode with had R6, Zx6r, Gsxr600, R1, and a CBR600. All of these guys are first season riders just like me. During the season, the R6 went down only once, low sided around a corner, he was fine. The Zx6r went down like 3 times, bike was basically mint when he bought it, now probably would be totaled by an insurance company if he called it in. but he didn't have full coverage. My friend with gsxr was killed in an accident on one of the nights we were all riding. he went around a corner too fast, hit a patch of shit pavement, front end start to wobble, he hit the brake, locked up the wheel and went into the guard rail. As for me I never went down on my 250r, and road for about 5k miles. I now have it for sale on craigslist. But I'm all ready looking for a new bike. But its not going to be a street bike, currently I'm looking to buy a Supermoto. specifically a Suzuki DRZ 400sm. I just feel like these supermoto bikes are a lot safer and people say they are a shit ton of fun. My one friend has a Husqvarna 450 and he fuckin loves the thing. I just wanted to say thank you for sharing your knowledge/experience. If it wasn't for you I probably would have bought a 600 and who knows where i would be right now. Keep up the good work man! このシリーズは当時から型番で「W1(ダブワン)」「W3(ダブサン・ダブスリー)」と呼ばれることが多く、シリーズに共通している英国風デザインの車体、直列2気筒のバーチカルエンジン、そしてエンジン下にあるメグロの血を受け継ぐ独特な形状のクランクケースにより日本国内では人気が高く、カワサキの伝説的オートバイとしてZシリーズに次ぐほど現在でも愛好家は多い。一方、カワサキが主要マーケットとした北米地域では発売当時より「BSAの兄弟車」などとデザイン面での評判が芳しくなく、また、特に高速走行時に発生する振動が凄まじく、各種の部品脱落の苦情が絶えなかったことなどにより販売成績的には後のH2(マッハIII500)やZ1に比べると見劣りのするものであった。
