St. Nicholas' Home, Penang is an NGO that takes care of the visually impaired community, providing especially trainings and education so that the visually impaired community can stand on their own, operation cost purely funded by donations. They currently have 75 blind and visually impaired residents, including children, trainees, staff members and senior citizens, ranging from the age of 4 to 73, and their operational costs sums up to RM110,000 monthly.

I guess I don’t need to describe further. We are all witnessing major economic downfall amidst the Covid-19 outbreak since early this year, and like most struggling businesses and communities, they are struggling too and are reaching out for help to cover their basic expenditures, aiming only at the amount of RM30,000.

If you can, if you feel like you still have some reserve funds to keep you and your family secured, consider spilling some. Don’t just treat this kind of care as an act of kindness. We are in a community, it is our duty to look after each other, like team spirit. Ideally, no one should feel more superior or inferior even if people live in different classes of society. Ideally.

和朋友聊天，不約而同都覺得最近對政治新聞感到冷感甚至反感，我們國家政治人物大概還是覺得疫情讓我們的生活不夠熱鬧的。唉。

CMCO，我們會覺得很憋很不舒服，希望可以早日回到我們熟悉的日常。但同時也有很多朋友，面臨著連日常開銷也無法應付的困境，比如檳城的「聖尼古拉盲人院」，支持著一群4歲到73歲的視障人士，經費資源來自民眾善款，MCO期間捐款少了70-80%，現在面對無法繳付日常經費（水電、電話費、個人衛生用品）的困境。

曾經因為拍攝節目的關係，我蒙著眼睛在一位失明人士的帶領下跟著她從工作地方回家。

「看不見」的过程中，我只有滿滿的恐懼，也才切身体验到失明人士在生活里种种的不便。虽然大部分的失明人士都可以自理生活，但依然存在着许多局限和挑战。尤其在这个艰难的时期。

而我相信我们总能为别人做些什么。

“檳城聖尼古拉盲人院 St. Nicholas’ Home, Penang是一所非政府非盈利福利組織，主要給予盲人教育和訓練，以使他們可以獨立，有能力自理生活和享有工作機會。

聖尼古拉盲人院每個月開支是11萬令吉，而經費來源是來自民眾的善款。但自從行動管制令卻面臨善款大減70-80%，導致無法支付日常開銷。甚至还得取消5月到12月的任何集聚人群的慈善活動。為此，特别發起這次社交網絡名人愛心募款活動「攜手愛心，共度疫情」的呼籲，讓社會各界善心人士募捐一份小小的心意。
