每個人都知道自己的缺點是什麼，但很少人願意去面對或改變。
有朋友問：「改命要多久？」
其實，改命猶如減肥。
你要多快，就看你有多胖。
越胖越需要耐心。缺點越多，越需要堅持。
基本道理，我們都懂。要運動，要飲食得當，要多喝水，要戒酒，要早睡等等等。
改命也一樣。要改掉陋習，要接近善知識，行為舉止要合天心，要守戒。
減肥走捷徑，就吞減肥藥。
改命走捷徑，從表皮改，買這個吉祥物，找哪個乩童問事。
不從心底改，治標不治本。
到頭來，勞命傷財。
然後就吶喊：「我看我注定是個胖子的。」
「都是你們放棄我，我才會這樣的！」
就算全天下放棄了你，你依然還是要拼下去。
好好研讀佛法中的戒律。
因為，憑什麼你得做一輩子的胖子呢？憑什麼要一輩子一事無成？

Everyone of us know our own flaws, but there are not many that are willing to face up to them, let alone correct these flaws.
A friend asked, "How long does it take to change my destiny?"
Well, it is like getting rid of the excess pounds on your body.
Your speed of transformation really depends on how much you tip the scales.
The heavier you are, the more patience you are going to need. Likewise, the more flaws you have, the more persistence you are going to need.
The basics which we all know: get regular exercise, eat appropriately, stay hydrated, quit smoking, get sufficient sleep, etc.
No difference when it comes to transforming your own destiny. Quit the non-virtuous habits, stay near virtuous people, align your words and actions to that of the Heavens, obey the precepts.
Swallow that fat-loss pills if you are looking for a short-cut.
The short-cut to destiny transformation? Buy that auspicious object, go to that medium to seek divination.
These shortcuts are not going to give you the permanent change. Your heart, the root, remains unmoved. In the end, you wasted your wealth and your life.
And then you screamed to yourself, "I am fated to be fat!"
"And it's all your fault. You gave up on me!"
Even if the whole world don't give you a single hope, you still must press on.
Delve deep into the Dharma and the precepts.
Because why should you be a fatty your entire life? Why should you be a failure in this lifetime?
