【科幻電影的開山始祖】The First Sci-fi

由喬治梅里愛所執導的《月球旅行記》，是全世界第一部以太空旅行為主題，同時也利用當時的定格動畫技術，創造出的科幻電影。片長約14分鐘，採每秒16幀的規格，於1902年9月1日，於法國首度亮相。
魔術師出身的導演喬治梅里愛，擅長操作各種不同的攝影技巧創造超脫現實的影像。諸如多重曝光、低速攝影、淡入淡出、手工著色等，都是他的作品特色。
《月球旅行記》的故事描述六位勇敢的科學家，建造了一種可以裝在巨砲中發射進入太空的太空船。他們將太空船射向月亮，並在月球上與外星人發生衝突。受困的眾人必須想辦法返回地球。
電影大致根據凡爾納《飛向月球》以及赫伯特喬治威爾斯的《最早登月的人》兩部小說改編，短短的14分鐘裡充滿天馬行空的劇情。當中的砲彈太空船與月球被擊中的畫面，也是後世許多科幻電影致敬的橋段。
2018年5月3日，Google以首頁塗鴉的方式紀念這部電影，也是Google與法國電影圈合作360度虛擬實境技術的首夜塗鴉。

發明活動電影攝影機，有「發明大王」之稱的美國發明家 湯瑪斯愛迪生；在倫敦看過《月球旅行記》後指示助手秘密地拷貝這部電影，並帶回美國進行大規模放映而賺取了一筆財富。
在那個版權法規尚未完備的年代，愛迪生的做法並未違法，《月球旅行記》的導演喬治梅里愛則是分文未得，過不久後宣告破產失業。
失業後的梅里愛，利用過去拍電影所賺來的錢，在法國巴黎蒙帕納斯車站經營一家小雜貨店；直到1920年代末，作品才又再度被世人重視，直到1938年因癌症去世，享年76歲。

Facebook Fan Page of Empire Magazine, a movie media and entertainment industry, has shown the new magazine cover that will be released beginning of September. There are three types of actors including Jason Momoa (Aquaman). , Rebecca Ferguson (Mission Impossible), Timothee Chalamet (Call Me by Your Name) and more. The magazine will be published and digital on September 3

Dune is scheduled to show in theaters on 18th December.

Breaking out of a prison after surviving a plane crash, you decide who triumphs and who is left for dead.
This preview build will give access to the first three zones of the game, totaling around four hours of gameplay if you scour every nook and cranny for bonus items and powerful enemies - which you’ll want to, as the world of The Surge 2 is unforgiving, and every advantage must be exploited. Once you finish the story content available, you’re free to explore the open world as you wish, and maybe find a few secrets while you’re at it.
Across this preview you will also have access to a wide variety of armor, weapons, drones, implants, and more. Much of this is acquired using The Surge series’ unique limb-targeting mechanic, which allows you to choose which loot you receive from enemies. Make sure to experiment and explore to find the perfect build for you.
The Surge 2 is an upcoming action role-playing game developed by Deck13 Interactive and published by Focus Home Interactive. A sequel to The Surge (2017), the game is set to be released for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in September 2019.
