my thoughts on the girl that took her life based off an Instagram poll.
To all of you reading this, I just wanna say this again. NEVER give the power to anyone else to decide your life. Do not let anyone OWN you. If you feel lost, it doesn’t mean you’re not capable anymore. The light has ALWAYS been in each and every one of us.
If today is a bad day, it is OKAY.
FEEL it.
EXPERIENCE it.
Rough seas make good sailors.
Challenges are a necessary part of life. They are character-building and give depth to a situation, allowing a person to see the point of view of another person just as a rough sea is crucial to the development of a good sailor.

An adventure at Cancun, Mexico! A glimpse into my vacation off ship spending some wonderful time with my friends.
We are often so caught up in our destination that we forget to appreciate the journey, especially the amazing people. The support of my friends are the wind to my sails which keeps me going during the tough times at sea. To all sailors & cadets out there.. Appreciate the ones who actually make an effort to be part of your life!
