I never had a dream wedding dress. It actually took me ages to think about what kind of dress I wanted. But I knew immediately who I wanted to make my dress. Amore has been making dresses in Bangkok for over 25 years. Located in Sukhumvit Soi 39, Ms. Khem was THE dressmaker for all the stars in the 90’s when I started my career. She dressed me for all my red carpet events- she even made my prom dress. Fast forward to when I moved back to the US, we completely lost touch. Fast forward again to when I moved back to Thailand 2 years ago, I moved into soi 39 and there she was; Amore’s shop still in the exact same place. As soon as Mika proposed last October, I knew I had to go see her; At least to say hi and ask if she was still making dresses. Sure enough she remembered me AND remembered that I had asked her, once upon a time, to make my wedding dress. In May (2019) I sent her my inspirations and the dress she made me is my absolute favorite dress ever and it means the world to me that she was the one to design and make it for my wedding day 💞💍👰🏻

This is to show support for victims of sexual harassment and call for gender parity across all industries.

As I bid goodbye to my darling friend @nadianazir over brunch today, (Nadia leaves Malaysia soon to start a new life), our catch up session came timely in my support for gender parity.

Today’s series of events have made me realize even more, how women need to stick together to combat the evil that has penetrated our system that is supposed to protect us.

I won’t reveal much here, but I hope someday the BS will be out in the open and the perpetrators will be caught.
