I met Chloe at a fashion editorial shoot last year. The way she portrays strength in such a fragile and sensitive way left a mark in my mind, and I messaged her afterwards.
There’s an inexplicable sadness in her, which comes out in the form of strength and overcoming. And that is the beauty that I wanted to capture - that out of the ups and downs in life, there is beauty to be celebrated. By chance, she also shared with me about her sporadic bursts of rosacea, so we decided to enhance it and play with freckles, to again portray the wholesome beauty of the ‘imperfections’ in life.
