《灣仔巷中的西貢街頭越南餐廳🇻🇳🍜》
年尾工作特別多,加班後與同事走到附近一間越南餐廳吃晚飯。以湖水藍作為裝修主調,餐廳明亮整潔,人流亦不算少。

入座後,侍應便奉上餐牌。餐廳的服務態度不錯,值得一讚,若然到街外吃飯都要受氣,再好吃的食物亦不過如此。最後點了幾款菜式與同事一同分享。

📍越式傳統街頭法包($62)
Traditional Fresh Bread🥖 (Vietnamese Sausage, Boneless Pork Shank, Pork Liver Pate, Coriander, Mayonnaise)
🥖越南法包口感鬆脆,中間夾了越南腸仔、豬腿肉、豬肝醬、芫荽🌿和蛋黃醬,味道清新,不會飽膩, 十分好吃😋。

📍香脆炸蝦餅($56)
Crispy Prawn Cakes
蝦餅新鮮炸起熱辣辣♨️,外面炸得卜卜脆,中間軟熟🦐,調味不錯。

📍芒果軟殻蟹米紙卷($56)
Soft Shell Crab & Mango Rice Paper Rolls
米紙卷中間包了熟透的芒果🥭、炸得鬆脆的軟殼蟹🦀和蔬菜🥬,吃下去清新輕盈,完全不油膩。

📍西貢脆春卷4件($48)
SAIGON Crispy Spring Rolls
春卷新鮮熱辣炸起,一客四件,味道討好👍🏻。春卷內包著肉碎🐷、粉絲和紅蘿蔔絲🥕,外面炸得香脆。更可以用生菜、金不換和羅勒葉包着一同吃🥬,香葉除了令味道更加突出外,感覺亦會更清新🌱。

📍綜合牛肉粉($75)
Street Combo Pho (Raw Beet, Sliced Beef Brisket & Beef Balls Pho)
牛肉粉上有生牛肉、牛腩片和牛丸做配菜,肉丸充滿肉汁,牛腩片軟熟,而生牛肉薄切不會過老🐂。米粉滑溜,可惜湯底不夠熱,而且湯底味道較平庸,整體上味道算是不錯,只是未及驚艷🤭。

📍椰青扣花肉配白飯跟椰青水($88)
Vietnamese Pork Belly Braised in Young Coconut with Steamed Rice Served with Young Coconut Water
椰青承載着東坡肉,內裏大概有七至八舊五花脘🐷。肉質軟腍,不過肥膏比例較多🐖,若然脂肪可煮至入口融化便會更佳。椰青肉亦吸收了的肉汁,又滑又甜。另外配上一碗白飯🍚,但略嫌配料不夠多,吃起上來較單調。餐廳另外會把椰青青水奉上🥥,味道非常清甜。

📍香芒椰汁糯米飯($48)
Fresh Mango & Sticky Rice with Coconut Sauce
糯米飯有兩款🍚,一款是白糯米,另一款是紫糯米。白糯米口感較黏較煙韌,味道卻不突出;紫糯米有其獨特的香味,有嚼頭,但黏性較低。芒果份量不多🥭,只有寥寥數片,不過配上帶鹹鹹甜甜的椰汁🥥,整體上還算滿意。

食物味道不錯👍🏻,但口味明顯為貼近香港人而作出調整,與正宗越南菜有點分別🇻🇳,不過整體上不錯吃,又能為加班後飽腹便可以了。

[Hoi An Ancient Town] #BaLeWell is known for its spring rolls, which include BBQ pork marinated in curry powder, sugar, garlic, and sesame. They are cooked on top of the charcoal, which give them a smokey flavor, and served with a soya bean dipping sauce with chilli. They also showed us how to eat it: roll the pork with fresh herbs in rice paper wrappers. Banh xeo (Vietnamese pancakes) were also served!

Square crab spring roll is a specialty of Hai Phong- a port city in Northern VN. The dish is now getting very popular in other parts of VN and even overseas. It is normally served alongside Bun Cha (Grilled pork with vermicelli).
Ingredients
200 g shrimp peeled, deveined and finely chopped
200 g pork minced
1 tbsp stock powder
2 tbsp fish sauce
pepper
15 g scallion chopped
15 g sprigs cilantro chopped
20 g dried wood ear mushrooms soaked and finely chopped
30 g cellophane noodles soaked and chopped
1 cup carrot
50 g bean sprouts chopped
1 egg
500 g crab
vegetable oil for frying

14 rice wrappers (8 ½ inch diameter)
½ lb (230g) large tiger shrimp, peeled, deveined & cooked

4 large eggs
¼ tsp fish sauce
2 oz (60ml) water
½ tsp corn starch
1 head of lettuce
1 English cucumber
1 carrot
½ cup fresh mint leaves
½ cup perilla (Tía tô)
½ cup fish mint (Giấp cá)
14 garlic chive leaves (optional)
Oil
A pinch of black pepper
Peanut butter sauce
(About 1 cup)
½ cup (120ml) hoisin sauce
3 tbsp creamy peanut butter
¾ cup (180 ml) water
2 shallots, minced
1 tsp oil
2 tbsp crushed roasted peanuts

For the rolls
9 pieces rice paper round
2 Chinese sausages
2 eggs
4 tbsp dried small shrimps
400g (16 oz) jicama, cut into thick strips
1 tsp minced garlic
Lettuce, Asian basils, fresh chili
Crushed peanuts, fried shallot
Salt, pepper, sugar to taste
For the dipping sauce:
1tbsp vegetable oil
1 tbsp minced garlic
5 tbsp hoisin sauce
5 tbsp pork broth / water
1 tbsp peanut butter
1 tbsp sugar
