ในรายการสตรีม Forza Monthly ทางทีมพัฒนาเกม Playground Games ได้ยืนยันว่าอัปเดตต่อไปของเกม Forza Horizon 4 จะเป็นอัปเดตสุดท้ายที่เพิ่มรถยนต์กับระบบใหม่ เนื่องจากทีมงานมุ่งหน้าพัฒนาเกม Forza Horizon 5 อย่างเต็มที่ เพื่อให้เกมมีความพร้อมในวันวางจำหน่าย

"เนื่องจากเราต้องให้ความสำคัญกับการวางจำหน่ายเกม Forza Horizon 5 ที่จะมีขึ้นในอีกหลายเดือนข้างหน้า เราจึงมีการเปลี่ยนแปลงเนื้อหาอัปเดตรายเดือนสำหรับ Forza Horizon 4" - Tom Butcher โปรดิวเซอร์ของ Forza Horizon กล่าว

Forza Horizon 4 เปิดให้เล่นอย่างเป็นทางการครั้งแรกตั้งแต่ปลายปี 2018 แล้วนับตั้งแต่เวลานั้นเป็นต้น ตัวเกมได้มีการอัปเดตเนื้อหารายเดือนมาโดยตลอด พร้อมทั้งปล่อยเนื้อหา DLC เสริม เช่น Fortune Island และ Lego Speed Champions เป็นต้น ก็ต้องบอกเลยว่ามาไกลมากจริง ๆ สำหรับเกม FZH4

[News] Series 37 จะเป็นอัปเดตรายเดือนตัวสุดท้าย ที่มีการเพิ่มเนื้อหาใหม่ให้กับ Forza Horizon 4

หลังจากที่มีข่าวลือกันมานาน ในที่สุด Forza Horizon 5 ภาคล่าสุดของเกมแข่งรถเรือธงของทาง Microsoft ก็ได้ประกาศเปิดตัวในช่วง Xbox & Bethesda Showcase งาน E3 2021 ที่ผ่านมา และกำลังจะวางจำหน่ายในวันที่ 10 พ.ย. นี้แล้ว

แต่การมาถึงของ Forza Horizon 5 ก็ย่อมส่งผลถึงการเปลี่ยนแปลงที่มีต่อ Forza Horizon 4 ด้วย

โดยในวิดีโอล่าสุดของ Forza Monthly ทาง Playground Games ได้ประกาศว่า Series 37 ของ Forza Horizon 4 ที่กำลังจะอัปเดตให้กับตัวเกม ในวันที่ 29 มิ.ย. นี้ จะเป็นการอัปเดตครั้งสุดท้ายของตัวเกมที่จะมีการเพิ่มเติมเนื้อหาคอนเทนต์ใหม่ๆ เข้าไป และจะไม่มีการพัฒนาเนื้อหาคอนเทนต์ใหม่ๆ เพิ่มเติมให้กับภาคนี้อีกต่อไปแล้ว

"ด้วยการวางจำหน่าย Forza Horizon 5 กำลังจะเป็นสิ่งสำคัญที่สุดของเราในอีก 2 - 3 เดือนข้างหน้า พวกเราจึงมีการเปลี่ยนแปลงบางอย่างในอัปเดตรายเดือนของ Forza Horizon 4"

คุณ Butcher ย้ำว่า ผู้เล่นน่าจะสนุกมากๆ กับการได้ย้อนกลับไปพบเจอกับเนื้อหาเหล่านี้เป็นครั้งที่ 2 และแน่นอนว่า ด้วยเนื้อหาอัปเดต Series ล่าสุดที่เพิ่งผ่านมา คุณก็จะสามารถทำ Photo Challenge, รับรางวัลต่างๆ, ใช้งาน Forzathon Shop และอื่นๆ ได้ด้วย

และเมื่อถามว่า Forza Horizon 4 จะยังคงได้รับการอัปเดตหลังจากการวางจำหน่าย Forza Horizon 5 ด้วยหรือไม่ คุณ Butcher กล่าวว่าทาง Playground วางแผนว่า จะทำให้ผู้เล่นมั่นใจว่า Forza Horizon 4 ยังคงเป็นประสบการณ์การเล่นที่สนุกสนานอย่างต่อเนื่อง แต่ยังไม่พร้อมที่จะเปิดเผยแผนเหล่านั้นในตอนนี้
