I’ve had quite a number of people asking me what the deal was with @pillarsofsabah the past few weeks. Here’s a few things I’d like to clarify and share:
1. I was the co-organiser for PoS1 and PoS2. I wasn’t involved in the recent PoS3 at all; so I’m not the person to speak to about details surrounding recent events. I won’t be involved in the Pillars project anymore and wish future organisers all the best!
2. I’m grateful that @sabahartgallery has been supportive of the idea since it was first proposed to them. I especially want to thank Jennifer Linggi for her support and encouragement for the Pillars and the artists. This includes getting authorities and 30+ artists at a time to work together and pulling funds to make PoS happen.
3. I hear a new project is coming soon to the site and I’m in support of that! It’s great to see artists in Sabah take initiative to make things happen. I really look forward to seeing what artists Japson and Rosmaini will be doing there (go guys!) - and what kind of creative artworks by other artists there will be there, on that site!
Ps: I’m also grateful to have worked with so many amazingly talented artists who have taught me so much. Go, Sabahan artists!
