The Brazilian Supreme Court this week took up a case that could define new rules for setting the boundaries of Indigenous lands, effectively eliminating the period of time that guarantees the right to land for all Indigenous peoples. More than 6,000 Indigenous people from more than 170 ethnic groups camped in front of the Supreme Court to follow the trial. All of this while other laws are aimed at opening up Indigenous territories to extractive industry.

Last week, Indigenous peoples symbolically demarcated the plaza outside of the court building, Praça dos Três Poderes. “521 years in Brazil, 32 years of the constitution, and we continue to witness the neglect of the most basic rights of the Indigenous peoples,” said APIB - Articulação dos Povos Indígenas do Brasil in a statement to Re:wild. “How long will this equation continue to take away the rights, lands and lives of #IPovosIndígenas? We call for an end to the impunity!”

「舊金山和約」第二條裡面沒有提到處置方式的地方，其最終處置留待日後決定，是在舊金山和會，全體簽約成員的共識。
在美國參與代表，也是舊金山和約草擬人 John Foster Dullus 說明和約內容的演講中，便已明白指出這個安排。

Some Allied Powers suggested that article 2 should not merely delimit Japanese sovereignty according to Potsdam, but specify precisely the ultimate disposition of each of the ex-Japanese territories. This, admittedly, would have been neater. But it would have raised questions as to which there are now no agreed answers. We had either to give Japan peace on the Potsdam Surrender Terms or deny peace to Japan while the Allies quarrel about what shall be done with what Japan is prepared, and required, to give up. Clearly, the wise course was to proceed now, so far as Japan is concerned, leaving the future to resolve doubts by invoking international solvents other than this treaty.

再來，同盟國只是一個由國際成員組成的軍事同盟，本身不是一個國際法上的法人。所以，這個軍事同盟所做出來的行動，在性質上，是「各個軍事同盟成員」的行動的集合。

我們不斷強調「中華民國政權是依據《一般命令第一號》『代表盟軍全體成員』佔領代管台澎」，就是要告訴你，中華民國政權其實是代表所有參與「同盟國」這個軍事同盟的成員來實施佔領，佔領權是來自於加入軍事同盟的各成員本身，而不是軍事同盟。因此，即使軍事同盟解散，既然身為佔領權來源的成員仍舊存在，只要成員沒有撤銷佔領授權，而且讓軍事佔領結束的狀況（戰後最終處置確定）還沒發生，軍事佔領就會繼續進行。

"Here’s a statement: over the last 50 years, Hong Kong has become a giant refrigerator. Despite its hot, humid, subtropical climate, the city remains an icicle all year round. But what do I mean by this? Well, Hong Kong has a bizarre problem. It has developed an obsession with air-conditioners so extreme it no longer makes any sense—winter coats are needed during the sweltering summer, and ACs are blasted in the midst of winter. There are many countries around the world that use and abuse their air conditioners—Singapore, Japan, Saudi Arabia, the US, to name a few—but Hong Kong (the city I grew up in), takes all this to a whole new level. So this raises questions—why are there so many ACs? Why is the temperature set so low? And—strangest of all—why can‘t they just turn it off? With Hong Kong, the answer is never simple..."

In the northeast New Territories, two ancient villages offer refuge to city dwellers who are always eager to flee from the bustling downtown on holidays. These villages may be remote and desolate, but the villagers are keen to welcome more people to explore their culture and learn about their history.

Mui Tsz Lam and Kop Tong are located in the northeast New Territories. Together with nearby villages including Lai Chi Wo, So Lo Pun, Sam A Tsuen, Ngau Shi Wu and Siu Tan, they formed an alliance of seven Hakka villages known as Hing Chun Yeuk. Back in the old days, Yuek brought New Territories villages together to safeguard their homes and to help each other on daily needs.

Hiking in Plover Cove has been an awesome travel adventure experience and my favorite hiking place in the world.

I cannot believe that Hong Kong is home to such natural beauty and the best hikes in the world.

If you are looking for a secret travel location in Hong Kong full of nature to explore then Plover Cove is a must visit location in Hong Kong.

Perfect for nature lovers in Hong Kong and any hikers looking to see the mountains in Hong Kong.
