I love this Arabic saying which serves as a reminder to all of us. Some are obsessed with the numbers (likes and followers), to the point it poisons them into thinking that that is the most important, to the point that it crumbles them. Some started with good intentions and actions. But they lose their way as they are swayed or distracted by the likes & followers.
Let's constantly renew our intentions before we post anything on Instagram & make dua to stay true to our intentions. Verily, every action starts with an intention. And in doing both, one will attain good deeds as well.
May allah guard our hearts and intentions. And no matter how many likes or who likes our posts on instagram, fb, Twitter... May all of us attain 'likes' in the eyes of Allah as well, first and foremost.
