At the beginning of last year, I had to deal with a global pandemic, quarantine, toxic people and a miserable job. It was the most challenging time of my life, but it also allowed me to see things from a clear perspective.
I have spent all the years before this with my rose-tinted glasses, searching for the good in every situation, in every people I meet and everything I came across. But that was unrealistic. You can try to understand people, but not everyone has a “hidden” side to them. Some portray themselves as who they are; you just got to stop ignoring the red flags. The same goes for your job and the situation you are in at the moment.
Things don't always turn out the way you planned or the way you think they should. Some things are the same as they appear, and you have to walk away for your sanity.
Stop communicating with people that you know is toxic for you. Resign from the job that is slowly killing you. Walk away from any situation that drains your energy. It will not be the end of your life, but it will open doors for a better opportunity.
