AIRFORCE 1 MID – Đứa con “bị lãng quên” của Không Lực Nike.

Đùa vậy thôi, chứ thực ra đúng là như thế đấy. Trong suốt giai đoạn 2019 và đầu 2020, Nike đang ra sức mang lại những đứa con đã làm nên tên tuổi và iconic nhất của mình trong lifestyle và thời trang đường phố - đó là gì, đó là Airforce 1 với các bản collab với Gdragon “Paranoise”, hay với Travis Scott.

Bên cạnh đó, chi thị trường đại chúng thì các phiên bản Nike AF1 cũng đang làm mưa làm gió với thiết kế đẹp mắt và màu sắc pantone hợp xu hướng. Nike Dunk SB cũng đánh dấu sự trở lại mạnh mẽ sau phiên bản Offwhite Nike Dunk SB, Travis Scott và các phối màu đình đám hồi xưa. AirJordan 1s cũng tằng tằng ra và nhìn xem đi – Nike “có vẻ” khá yêu mến các bản Low, bản sneaker cổ thấp và những đôi Mid hình như đã bị đi vào quên lãng.

Đùng 1 cái, Comme Des Garcon trong runway A/W 2020 công bố sự trở lại “của Airforce 1 Mid với sự tiếp tục công trình hợp tác đầy chơi bời giữa 2 thương hiệu quyền lực CDG và Nike. Nhưng đáng nói hơn ở đây là, đứa con bị ghẻ lạnh của Không lực Nike – lại xuất hiện trong 1 runway lớn dưới cái tên của 1 thương hiệu lớn. CDG lúc nào cũng vậy, cũng muốn những đôi sneaker Nike xuất hiện trong các collection của mình một cách thời trang nhất và đồng thời cũng khá kén người đi nhất. Chúng ta có Comme Des Garcon x Nike Shox, CDG x Nike Air Presto Foot Tent…

(Có lẽ với những ai yêu giày sẽ nhớ Airforce 1 Mid khá ít các bản collab được nhiều người biết đến, thông thường sẽ là Supreme – phổ biến ở Việt Nam chắc bản AF1 MID Ricardo Tisci, còn ước mơ của mình là A Cold Wall Nike – bản High đầu tiên và giới hạn ở London chứ không phải low bán đầy ngoài thị trường đâu nhé).

Cùng trở lại về Airforce1 Mid – phiên bản Mid của AF1 được công bố và giới thiệu vào năm 1994, sau bản High và Low được debut trước đó 12 năm. Tuy nhiên, đối với thị trường đại chúng – thì có vẻ họ không khá “mặn mà” lắm với các phiên bản Mid này, vì nó được xem là “Signature shoes” của người da màu (Ở đây là rapper da màu) vào các giai đoạn cuối thập niên 90s.

Chúng ta có Wu-tang Clan, chúng ta có Jay-Z và các dân chơi da màu khác yêu thích mặc combo quần short thụng, áo jersey và một con AF1 Mid chiến.

Nhưng cũng giống như underground và streetwear vậy, Các đôi giày Nike Airforce 1 Mid gần như biến mất khỏi thị trường vào đầu những năm 2000s. Thời điểm đó là sự nổi dậy của các dòng retro-runner với Asics hay New Balance, do đó không chỉ riêng dòng Mid mà các bản low của Airforce 1 – đều “im hơi lặng tiếng” trên social cũng như mainstream.

Tuy nhiên, giai đoạn 2011 – có 1 cái tên đã mang cả dòng Airforce 1 trở lại đại chúng và đặc biệt là Airforce 1 Mid. Chính là không ai khác ngoài A$AP “Flacko” Rocky cùng binh đoàn A$AP Mob – nổi đình nổi đám với hit “Wild for the Night” cùng với Dj/Producer khét tiếng thời điểm đó Skrillex. A$AP Rocky đã hồi sinh “Không lực 1” Mid của Nike với việc sử dụng gần như 100% hình ảnh xuất hiện thời điểm đó cùng với đôi AF1 Mid. Thời tới vận tới, sự thay đổi về gu âm nhạc của gen Z với việc Rap trở thành thứ nhạc yêu thích nhất của thập kỉ đã mang sự quan tâm rất nhiều tới các rappers và outfit của họ. AF1 Mid đã không thành một đôi sneaker “Đậm mùi Gangster” mà trở thành đôi giày mà ai cũng nên có trong tủ giày của riêng mình. Chẳng thế mà sau sự thành công vượt trội của Nike x Vlone (A$AP Mob) bản low, bản thứ 2 luôn là các bản Mid màu đen (Nhưng do scandal của Bari nên Nike cắt hết hợp đồng rồi).

Với Sự bùng nổ của AF1 Mid thì các bản low cũng xuất hiện nhiều lên – những bạn nào chơi giày đã lâu, hẳn vẫn rất nhớ giai đoạn 2012 – 2013 Việt Nam khá ưa chuộng các đôi AF1 Low/Mid đen trắng và sở hữu nó như sở hữu Yeezy ngày nay vậy. Tiếp theo đó là cái sự collab mà là “Grailed” của khối thanh niên thời đó – Nike AF RT.

Airforce 1 lúc nào cũng vậy, đôi giày này càng beat càng đẹp. Nhưng so cho cùng, bản Mid vẫn khá kén người và cách ăn mặc hơn bản Low – đó cũng là lí do mà tại sao AF1 MID thường không được “Sủng ái” nhiều khi ra thị trường. Nhưng nếu bạn là 1 người có gu ăn mặc và sáng tạo 1 tí, nó sẽ là con dao sắc bén khiến bạn khác giữa 1 rừng AF1 low bây giờ.
