Tiger Muay Thai & MMA Training Camp's very own Fitness Coach Sam "sledge Hammer" Bastin is getting back in the cage after a long break from his MMA Career. It will be Sam's first international fight outside of Australia and it will also be his Debut fight in WIN FC China on July 18, 2015. Head Fitness Coach John Priest will be flying with him as his corner man. He has also been training under Coach RogerHuerta and George Hickman and also Strength and Conditioning Coach Andrew Wood
Sam spent most of his teen years doing Amateur Boxing in Australia and has had a total of 30 fights as a Pro and Amateur. He has also won 13 of his last 15 fights.
He is currently our full-time Fitness Instructor at TMT and is now based in Phuket Thailand.
"I am a full time Fitness Coach at Tiger Muay Thai, In my free time I try and get in 2 of my own training sessions a day , I also enjoy checking out new locations around Phuket Thailand, traveling and I'm also a bit of a Gaming nerd. The atmosphere, people, and lifestyle is what keeps me loving this place more and more."
Sam's last fight was 2 years ago where he fought for the Australian Combat 8 featherweight title and won by 5th round K.O despite of a hand injury in which he fractured his hand a week before the fight.
"My next fight is in China and I'm looking forward to getting back in there after the long lay off."
What inspires Sam,,,
"I'm inspired by many things, my parents taught me that nothing is given for free. You have to work to get there and that's what I do on a daily basis. Work ethic and consistency equals results."
