Can you imagine working over 17 hours a day, seven days a week? Thousands of foreign domestic workers in Taiwan do it every day, with some being on call 24 hours a day and performing household chores that are not a part of their jobs.

『天主教香港教區榮休主教陳日君樞機早前就香港主教繼任人安排到訪梵蒂岡，但不獲教宗方濟各接見。天主教媒體《National Catholic Register》昨再刊出與陳日君在羅馬的專訪，陳日君稱，因健康緣故，不相信自己餘生能再來梵蒂岡，又表示現時除祈禱以外已別無他法。
陳日君又表示，如果教廷堅持要任命一個獲北京祝福的人出任香港主教，他會選擇從此消失，死後也不希望安葬於主教座堂，「我不想和這樣的人葬在一起」，反而想在一般墳場，與其他忠於上帝的子民同埋葬…』
江魔有話說：
為何教宗不接見，我們局外人是沒有辦法確確實實的告訴大家。但，同樣的事情發生在馬來西亞的，就是中國領事館干預華人佛教圈在佛誕日播放有介紹達賴喇嘛的影片。這些干預都是檯底下進行的，不是正式出了官方的信。（但，剛剛這次馬來西亞回教學者與達賴喇嘛公開的線上交流，卻又沒干預到。估計馬來西亞回教組織沒有跟中國有利害關係吧）
天主教的身份有點不同，因為它有一個統一化的組織，只要有在我的國家進行佈道，就有利害關係，我就能干預。
其實在這一方面，馬來西亞政府會比中國政府更乾脆，它若認為某宗教是不對的，會直接立法制止。1996年開始，馬來西亞的合法回教派系是Sunni，Shia 是法定異端回教。這是桌面上，明刀明槍的操作。
反觀大陸的情況，檯底下的干預，因為比較曖昧，操控的範圍最後會變得更大。例如，中共不準達賴喇嘛不轉世，譴責達賴喇嘛不轉世的言論為違反宗教文化不負責任的言論。（搞不好天主教教宗會擔心一些國家會不會立自己的教宗？？）
不過，也給大家知道一下歷史的真相 —— 一直以來，各個宗教都有很多舔舐當權者的證據，包括印度教、佛教、猶太教、天主教等等，都有一些儀式是典當自己靈魂來合理化當權者的意圖。
包括佛教這個較靜態和宣揚慈悲的宗教，歷史上有不少的祖師是合理化當權者的暴力，包括把敵人殺掉。所以都有打仗前為軍隊加持，也就是嘗試用佛力加持己方軍隊在戰爭時『殺生』成功的勝出。
宗教若要繼續的跟現代人的需求銜接，要繼續的有 Relevance，就必須明白以前的時代可以完全忽略人民的需求，今天就不能只會舔舐當權者。
