被除數X 除數Y

(1)如果X Y同號
rem(X,Y) = mod(X,Y) 正負號跟X Y 一樣

ex: 42 ÷ 5 ＝ 8 ... 2 rem(42,5) = mod(42,5) = 2
-42 ÷-5 ＝ 8 ...-2 rem(-42,-5) = mod(-42,-5) = -2


(2)如果X Y異號
rem(X,Y) 正負號取決於 X
mod(X,Y) 正負號取決於 Y

ex: 42 = -5 *(-8)+2 = -5*(-9)+(-3) rem(42,-5) = 2
mod(42,-5) = -3

-42 = 5 *(-8)+(-2) = -5*(-9)+3 rem(-42,5) = -2
mod(-42,5) = 3
