Holiday Self Care 🎄💕
The holiday season is just around the corner and as most of us will be celebrating Christmas and New Year, some of us might find this overwhelming. Self-care can only happen when you are enjoying what you do hence only do things that make you happy.
Here are some of what you can ponder along when you need it :
🌻 Permit yourself to say "No" to things you don’t want to do.
🌻 Make space for messy feelings like the grief that is associated with the holidays.
🌻 Allow yourself to receive love, gifts, and attention without feeling guilty.
🌻Set a realistic expectation for yourself associated with the holidays.
🌻 Make a plan that is comfortable for you and stick to it.
The holiday season can be happy, fun, and memorable. Sometimes, it can also be just a normal day like every other day. You choose what makes you happy and comfortable then do it.

The past is, in reality, non-existent, yet it manifests itself like a specter in many forms: resentment, guilt, memories (good or bad), loss, and the general feeling that we have left something behind that we cannot now retrieve or change.
No matter how difficult or traumatic our life experiences have been, we are from time to time faced with the right opportunity to let go of them. The opportunity can present itself in a subtle way such as a new experience or life lesson that makes us reflect on our life in general while sometimes it can be a shocking realization of how our attachment to the past had been holding us from moving forward 🌻
