This little boy gives the heartiest laugh and widest grin whenever I pick him up from school - even though we are only separated for three hours - and fellow mums always comment "So happy to see Mama ah!" He insists that I call him Baby instead of his name and always plants sweet kisses on my face and gives me the tightest bear hugs.
He has been sleeping with me since he was born and now that he has turned four, I tried telling him that soon he can move into his own bedroom. Of course, he gave a big "NO! I don't want!" and said "I wanna sleep with Mama forever!" and "I love you inifinity thousand nineteen". The funny one was when he said " You are my BEST and MOST FAVOURITE Mama" and I asked him how many Mamas he has. Haha. He said one, so I guess I am the best, the nicest and also the most beautiful in his eyes. But I can also be the worst, meanest and fiercest - which thankfully he has not said any of those to me (yet).
We were talking about aging and he gave me a forlorn look when I told him everyone grows bigger and older and everyone has to leave the world some day. He was dismayed and he hugged and told me "我不要你变老 (I don't want you to become old)" and it was so hard for me to continue the topic without making him cry so I promised him that I will stay young (at heart) and be as healthy as I can so that we can enjoy being together for as long as possible.
That said, he also tells me I am his favourite girl in the world which I know it might not be so true in a decade, but for now, I'm loving all the mushy, sweet and loving words that he says to me every day and every night. 儿子果然是妈妈的前世情人. ♥️ Love you, my dear baby boy.
