邀請 #宏都拉斯 #諾魯 #馬紹爾群島 #海地 #聖文森 等我國友邦以及 #義大利 #日本 等 #理念相近國家 駐西代表
總計250多人出席相挺 💪
共同支持臺灣應被納入 #聯合國氣候變化綱要公約！

Taiwan International Cooperation and Development Fund (#ICDF) deputy secretary general, Alex L. J. Shyy, has led a delegation to #Madrid, where the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (#UNFCCC) conference of parties (#COP25) is currently underway, to hold meetings with our allies, NGOs and partners on the fringes of the conference.

By showcasing our experience in agriculture, transition to green energy sources, water resource management and sustainable development, we want to let the world know that #TaiwanCanHelp in #CombatingClimateChange! Over 250 representatives from our allies, including #Honduras, #Nauru, the #MarshallIslands, #Haiti, #StVincentAndTheGrenadines, as well as delegates from #Japan and #Italy, attended a welcome party hosted by our representative office in #Spain (Taiwán en España駐西班牙代表處), at which Environmental Protection Administration minister Chang Tzi-jin gave an address on the initial results of Taiwan’s policies on the reduction of carbon emissions.

Water is Singapore’s most precious natural resource. Our water travels a long way and goes through a lot before it pours from our taps, clean and drinkable.

Since independence, we’ve invested in new technologies, and diversified our water sources to include NEWater and desalinated water. We can do much more to ensure a sustainable water supply for our children and future generations. Simple steps like turning off the tap when you brush your teeth, or turning off the shower when soaping, go a long way.

Today is Earth Day, a time to remind ourselves to protect our precious resources and celebrate our beautiful planet. Let’s share care ??????? to Malaysia ?? ‘s Orang Utan ?? through the Bukit Merah Orang Utan Island Foundation

This Foundation was established in 2000 initially as ex-site conservation facility for the endangered Bornean Orang Utan. It aims to promote the conservation of the Orang Utan through ex-site efforts @ #OrangUtanIsland #OUI encompassing:
• Awareness campaigns
• Education programmes
• Research studies
• Rehabilitation
• Publication of papers & books ?
• Collaboration with universities ??
• Participation at wildlife summits
• Sustainable revenue streams

The Orang Utan Island ???itself, FKA Pulau Panjang, comprises of 35 acre area, 15 acres of which has been set aside as an exhibit for rehabilitation endangered species with provision for further expansion for future phases ??

Since its inception in 2000, Orang Utan Island ???has progressed from being a sanctuary, where visitors experienced 1st hand awareness & education on the orangutan, to a recognised ex-siteconservation facility & referral centre for the endangered Bornean Orang Utan

As the cruiser ? cuts through the water ?? , Orang Utan Island ???beckons closer, now, no more a mystery in the distance.
As you alight onto the jetty⚓️, keep a look out high among the trees??, you may spot 1️⃣ orangutan or 2️⃣, swinging from tree ? to tree ? , maybe even taking a nap ??

Your steps ? on the boardwalk take you through a classroom of education in the life of an Orang Utan, where you learn amazing facts about this intelligent primate

Visitors ??? were able to view the Orang Utan from the boardwalk & the exhibition area, sparking strong interest & curiousity in these red-haired primates, whose genetic make-up is approximately 97% similar to that of humans.

The orangutan, or ‘man (orang) of the forest ?? (hutan)’ in the local Bahasa Malaysia ?? language, exhibits truly human-like mannerism in many facets of its behavior.

The Foundation also serves as a comprehensive, national resource centre for information on the orangutan and links to collaborations with related information centres worldwide ? ?

To date, there are about 20 Orang Utan on Orang Utan Island ??? So, do plan a visit & contribute ???? as you can to this foundation for its research & conservation efforts ya ??
