I had a manager once back when I was working for P&G. He was a smart and diligent guy, very successful. I asked him one time whether or not I could be as successful as him and take over the branch office one day. Because I came from an engineering background, he said “no, you are going down a different path, to become a plant director--that should be good enough.” I felt dejected, and wanted nothing more than to prove him wrong.

I ended pursuing a PhD in strategic management from VU Amsterdam, in search of accumulating more knowledge in business. This period of my life was extremely tough. Racial discrimination was rampant and money was hard to come by. I took classes in the day, waited tables at night, and even sold bicycles on the side. This one time I went with my wife to a cafe and bought 2 donuts instead of 1. Despite overstretching our shoestring budget, I just felt like it would be a nice gesture after all our struggles; she cried in response.

During this time I was also active in leading the Indonesian Student Association in the Netherlands, and got a unique opportunity to meet an ex finance minister from Indonesia. He mentioned something that I would never forget: in order to have impact, you need to become a decision maker.

I came back to Indonesia in 2018 and briefly dabbled in politics before setting my sights on the world of startups. After a few failed cold starts spanning tourism to wellness, I decided to target a sector that was critical in putting me on my path in the first place--education.

There’s been so many ups and downs. I’ve almost lost track of our near-death experiences. I don’t think I’m the smartest guy in the room, but I’ve always found a way to climb out of tough situations. I’d have to thank my mom for that. She’s always said “the only limitation you have is in your mind.”

💝Due to its outstanding performance, Music Box received the government’s support and was chosen to represent Malaysia in the form of theatre in a cultural exchange with Indonesia’s cultural department.

💘 Music Box was performed at the auditorium of Universitas Negeri Padang, attended by the Governor of West Sumatra province, Irwan Prayitno, the Minister of Tourism, 19 mayors in West Sumatra, and many high-ranking officers of the Navy, Army, and Air Force. Around 2000 theatregoers attended this colossal stage play. Music Box will be brought to Sabah soon.

💘Inspired by a true story in England, Music Box recounts a bar songstress's experience with romance, friendship, and family as she tries to make sense of three men’s affections for her. Music Box also incorporates Jessie Chung’s life journey and three relationships.

💝There are currently more than 30 Music Box performances scheduled. During these quiet times squeezed out of her schedule, she authored Stay Away from Cancer, Stay Away from Diseases, and the Jessie Diary series, informing the world with her medical experiences while also giving them a peek into her soul. She has authored more than ten literary and medical works to date, most of them in English and Chinese, with translations in Malay. As an accomplished martial arts practitioner, Jessie has successfully achieved the 5th Duan of Chinese Wushu Duanwei; she is also a certified Wushu coach, referee, and instructor. She has won a total of 12 gold medals and 5 silver medals in various international Wushu competitions. Jessie has been honoured with countless awards received from various ministers of Malaysia for her achievements, particularly two awards from the prime ministers of Malaysia. 钟洁希是一名在中港台及澳洲发展的国际歌手与演员，目前已签约澳洲未来娱乐与音乐集团，成为该公司的旗下艺人。多才多艺的她也是一名肿瘤专科医学博士、美国注册的自然医学医生、美国合格高级营养顾问、顺势疗法医师、虹膜师、生物科技研究人员、成功的企业家、作家、武术教练和慈善家。 除了考获中西医结合临床医学博士学位，她也考获澳洲南澳大学工商管理硕士学位、美国夏威夷东方医药学院中医及针灸学士学位，成为了自然医学大师伯纳德医生(Dr Bernard Jensen)的得意门生。近来，她也是唯一一位被选入蜂鸟癌症治疗中心(The Hummingbird Cancer Centre)的自然医学肿瘤医生，并担任该治疗中心自然疗法医药部的主席。 钟洁希从小就受到音乐的薰陶，多次在校际歌唱比赛中得奖。初中时，钟洁希被选为全省区域代表，参于大马国庆日演出，也是当时唯一的少年歌手。之后，她也陆续代表音乐学院上电视节目独唱。 16岁那年，她也在加拿大参加香港无线国际性新秀大赛，成功进入决赛。除了唱歌天赋，洁希也热衷于乐器演奏。高中时，洁希也在日本电子琴考级考试中以特优成绩考获第八级。 博士毕业后，钟洁希全心投入演艺圈，至今已发行8张个人专辑及演出3部电影。在2013年，钟洁希接拍北京电影公司制作的《面孔》及马来西亚制作的电视电影《女侠》，担任女主角。 2014年也被邀请参与集合马新港三地演员同台打造的贺岁动作片《百武禁忌》。她在世界各地的演出深受大众喜爱，包括在美国、加拿大、中国、台湾和马来西亚，累积了许多舞台经验。 2015年举办的《钟洁希星星堆满天演唱会》，成功获得世界各地歌迷鼎力支持并专程前来捧场，挤爆了演唱会场地。洁希也常在演唱会中演唱“华巫英日粤”共5种语言的歌曲，大秀语言天份。接着，她也在2016年首创《倾城国色华乐演唱会》，巡回东西马共十场的演出，场场都爆满。除了演唱会，她也活跃于演艺界，曾经在新加坡、加拿大和马来西亚等地演出多部舞台剧，并且担任舞台剧主角。刚走红的《月光》舞台剧也反应热烈，网络上好评连连，10场演出皆爆满。 迄今，她共发行了六张中文专辑和两张英文专辑。 2012年发行的《爱在转瞬间》被选为卫视中文台韩国电视剧《秘密花园》的主题曲，该张专辑也曾多次在马来西亚爱FM“我们的排行榜”中夺冠。 2006年发行的《爱你》也曾在中国的音乐排行榜排名第8。在台湾发行的华语专辑《没有泪的天空》仅仅发行两个星期就已在台湾I Radio“金曲榜”荣升第4名，也在台湾Pop Radio“10大全球华语歌曲排行榜”排名第6名。 钟洁希的歌曲在国际广受欢迎，并获得各大音乐媒体的赞赏及台湾知名乐评人邱大立的肯定。此外，钟洁希也活跃于台湾的各项综艺电视节目，她的专辑也在全球性的知名综艺节目《康熙来了》中被蔡康永强力推荐。近日，钟洁希也频频受到中国及澳洲的电视台邀约参加电视节目。 钟洁希不只投身在舞台和娱乐界，她也在百忙中抽空撰写医学著作《远离癌症》、《远离疾病》和文学著作《洁希日记》系列，除了分享她多年的医学心得和医术精华，她也在书中分享她的人生哲学。迄今，她已完成超过10本文学和医学著作，并已翻译成英文版本及马来文版本，发行至中国、台湾、新加坡、文莱、菲律宾等地。 钟洁希热爱中华武术，并且考获中国武术协会颁发的中国武术段位制5段，及成为广东省体育局认可的合格武术教练员、裁判员及社会体育指导员。她参加过许多国际性武术比赛，并成功获得12面金牌及5面银牌，及香港国际武术节组委会提名列为“优秀教练”之一。 此外，她也曾经获奖无数，并获得大马前首相敦马哈迪医生及大马现任首相纳吉的认可。2014年，钟洁希也被列入“中华名人录”并获得“卓越华人”的称号。2016年，钟洁希的名声传至马来西亚皇室，并受邀参加最高元首的华诞庆典。
