SỰ KIỆN 9/11 VÀ ẢNH HƯỞNG ĐẾN ÂM NHẠC MỸ LÚC BẤY GIỜ

Ngày 11 tháng 9 vào 20 năm về trước là một sự kiện lịch sử chấn động nước Mỹ khiến cả thế giới rùng mình. Khủng bố đã tấn công Toà Tháp Đôi của Trung tâm Thương mại Thế giới khiến hơn 2750 người thiệt mạng. Sự kiện nhức nhối này đã ảnh hưởng nặng nề đến Mỹ, và đương nhiên cũng tác động đếm nền âm nhạc đại chúng của Mỹ và có nhiều bài hát nói lên sự kiện này.

9/11 là ngòi nổ thành nổ thành lập ra band nhạc emo nổi tiếng My Chemical Romance. Gerard Way đã chứng kiến Toà Tháp Đôi của Trung tâm Thương mại Thế giới đổ sụp tren đường đi làm. Nó đã đã chuyển hướng của đời của Way khiến anh muốn thành lập một ban nhạc. Nó đã khiến anh viết lên 'Skylines and Turnstiles', ca khúc phòng thu đầu tiên của My Chemical Romance. Nó xuất hiện trong album đầu tay của MCR 'I Brought You My Bullets, You Brought Me Your Love'.

Ngày diễn ra thảm kịch cũng chính là ngày mà Jay-Z phát hành album 'The Blueprint'. Vì thế Hova đã không thể quên được sự kiện này. Sự kiện ấy đã truyền hứng cho Jay-Z viết nên '9/11 Freestyle' 5 ngày sau đó. Qua bài hát, Hova lên án sự tàn khốc của thảm kịch 11/9. Đồng thời kêu gọi chính phủ ngăn chặn nguồn gốc vấn đề khủng bố ngay từ trong nước - chẳng hạn như việc giam giữ hàng loạt cộng đồng người Mỹ gốc Phi và tình trạng lệ thuộc vào ma túy của người Mỹ.

Beyoncé vị hôn thê của Jay-Z cũng đã không thể quên được sự kiện này. 'I Was Here' là bài hát từ album phòng thu thứ tư '4' của cô. Nó được viết bởi Diane Warren. Bài hát thể hiện quá khứ đau buồn của Beyoncé và cô muốn mọi người nhớ đến cô sau khi cô mất. 'I Was Here' được sáng tác dựa trên cảm hứng từ vụ tấn công 9/11 và được cho là ca khúc thành công nhất sự nghiệp sáng tác của Diane Warren.

'The Rising' là album phòng thu thứ mười hai của Bruce Springsteen, được phát hành vào ngày 30 tháng 7 năm 2002. Album là sự phản ánh của Springsteen về hậu quả của vụ tấn công ngày 11 tháng 9. 'The Rising' xoay quanh các chủ đề về cuộc đấu tranh trong mối quan hệ và cuộc khủng hoảng hiện sinh.

Ngoài ra, sự kiện này còn xuất hiện nhiều trong cac bản rap của Eminem, Wu-Tang Clan, 50 Cent hay Childish Gambino. Theo thống kê đã có khoảng 100 bài hát của các nghệ sĩ Mỹ nói về sự kiện này.

20 năm đã trôi qua nhưng sự kinh hoàng sự kiện 9/11 vẫn còn đó. Kẻ khủng bố đã phải trả giá nhưng rồi vẫn còn những băng nhóm khủng bố khác xuất hiện. Không chỉ Cổ Động mà chắc hẳn toàn nhân loại sẽ mong rằng hòa bình sẽ mau đến khắp trên Trái Đất này, những điều tiêu cực sẽ mau chóng qua đi.

Your Body is God’s Temple

““Foods for the belly, and the belly for foods,” but God will bring to nothing both it and them. But the body is not for sexual immorality, but for the Lord; and the Lord for the body. Now God raised up the Lord, and will also raise us up by his power. Don’t you know that your bodies are members of Christ? Shall I then take the members of Christ, and make them members of a prostitute? May it never be! Or don’t you know that he who is joined to a prostitute is one body? For, “The two”, he says, “will become one flesh.” But he who is joined to the Lord is one spirit. Flee sexual immorality! “Every sin that a man does is outside the body,” but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.” (1 Corinthians‬ ‭6:13-20‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

I believe that seeing your body as God’s temple will transform the way you treat it.

If God had designed for us to still be worshipping Him in a temple built of gold, wood, and stones, would you go and defile the walls with graffiti, toss lots of junk into it, have your way with prostitutes inside, and let it fall into disrepute? No way, right?

Probably the number one reason why we don’t treat our bodies right is because we are not conscious of it being God’s temple.

We go around daily, thinking that the condition of our body is not that important, and that other things are more urgent.

When we get busy, hydration is neglected, meals are skipped or irregular, exercise is dropped, hygiene is forgotten, sleep is sacrificed, and the body is just sadly abused.

The body is the house of the Holy Spirit, and we ought to treat it right.

If the president (or someone else of a much higher rank that you respect) announces one day that he will be staying at your house, you will surely clean up the house and prepare it nicely right?

Then why are we so casual when God is dwelling in our body, and He has promised to stay forever? Does He not deserve the grandest, most glorious house with the best maintenance?

Thankfully, we have a better way than natural methods to care for God’s temple. If your body is in a bad state, and needs some major renovation, the Holy Spirit can work an awesome transformation by His power. It is a change that everyone can see.
