Ever since high school, I've always wanted to pursue a career in sound engineering. But because I wasn't the brightest student when it comes to academic, trying to convince my parents wasn't easy. Couple of years later, I was lucky enough to get the opportunity to work as an intern in one of the best audio production house in Malaysia. They took me in even though I had no engineering experience. During my time in the studio, I was convinced that I had talent as a music composer and should start making music of my own. I took their advice and started learning the tools of the trade. They allowed me to sit in the studio with them while they were working, and guided me along the way. After 9 years as a DJ and 2 years as a music producer, I'm still working hard on reaching my ultimate goals. 2014 has been nothing but a good year for me. I've played in some of the biggest music festival in Malaysia, as well as abroad. I've also met some of the most amazing people during my travels. During these periods, I started working on a song which I could relate to my life. I knew the song needed a singer/songwriter who could read my mind through my music. There was only one person who I could trust and I wanted to work with on this special project. This person is the rising star in Malaysia, soon to be the world, an old friend of mine, the amazingly talented Froya. I have to thank her for writing such inspiring lyrics and for doing such a good job with her amazing voice. Of course this song will not sound as good without the help of two of the most talented & humble music producers in Malaysia. Thank you Ahmad Adam a.k.a Soundwize, for sitting down with me to do the final mixing. Thank you Fariz Fauzi a.k.a Flikswitch for doing a kick ass mastering job. Indeed I am a lucky boy to be blessed with such talented and amazing friends. I hope this song means something to you as much as it means to me.
