Hong Kong will be competing with over 160 cities around the world in the largest biodiversity engagement activity EVER and all we have to do is take pictures of any animal or plant (except pets and indoor potted plants) on the free app iNaturalist, ANYWHERE in Hong Kong! Last year, San Francisco won the challenge with 1500+ observers spotting 2800+ species. Hong Kong shocked the world by coming 4th out of 68 cities for most species logged, this year we can do even better! Come on Hong Kong! Let’s show the world the amazing biodiversity we have!!

Once your pictures are uploaded the iNaturalist community will help to identify your specimen and it will be included in a database so that other ecologists, enthusiasts etc can analyse them collectively. It is citizen science! With this collective data, we will have more information about our global diversity..... plus, we want to win!!! 👏🏼👏🏼👍🏼
