昔よく聴いていた曲だったので、過去の記憶を思い出しながら撮りました。毎週金曜はRAVE2001をVHSで録画。翌日の練習前に見てテンションを上げる。地元の駅の通路や公園でバイト後に仲間と合流。ショーンジョンとかペレペレとか、正規品は高いからその半値以下で買える黒人のパチモノhiphop服屋で慣れない価格交渉を頑張りながら極太デニムの裾を擦りきらせながら踊っていた懐かしき時代。
現在のようにこのジャンルはこういう踊り、という固定観念も少なく、情報も限られている中みんなが自分たちなりの理想と解釈の中で発展中の文化と向き合っていました。ストリートダンサーの間でよく踊られていたのがヒップホップダンスにポッピンのヒット・ウェーブなど基礎的なテクニックをブレンドしたフリースタイルダンスで、今回はポッピンの基本技を含めた振り付けサンプルを講座にしています。
音楽も当時の定番だったブラッキッシュな重めのラップミュージックとクラシックなサンプリングトラック。服装もオーバーサイズでダボっとさせた90s hiphipスタイル。(リアルダンサーズで販売中) この動画はレッスン形式なので、初心者でも練習しやすいようBPMは遅めにし、後半からは振り付けのレクチャーを収録しています。
ヒップホップダンス振り付けとしてはシンプルながら独創的で、創作ダンスの振り付け例としても参考になれば幸いです。ポップダンスの基礎「ウェーブ」は３種類を含めています。ボディーウェーブ・ハンドウェーブ・タッチウェーブの順で練習することをおすすめします。こういった動きは難しいテクニックに分類されますが、家の中でも練習できる利点もありますので頑張ってください。
いつもと比べ見た目以上に簡単ではないですが、運動強度は低く曲もスロウなので体力がないビギナーさんもトライしやすいです。ダンスの基礎トレーニング「アイソレーション」を習得すれば上手に踊ることができます。
ノリ・リズム感は各自 曲からのインスピレーションに合わせてください。 ベースにあるのは hiphop dance なので、今回はヒットでカチカチっとはさせず、逆にルーズさを全面に押し出して踊ってください。この振り付けはラストの跳ねるステップを除けば騒音もなく家の中で練習できますので、見本演技を観てこういう踊り方が好きと感じた方はじっくり時間をかけてやってみてください。
