Look at how eye-catching this Hida Beef Patty Burger (HKD158) from @reactioncoffeeroasters is! This burger is made with Hida beef from Japan, including kale, tomatoes, purple onion, then dressed with honey mustard. The beef patty was juicy and layered with a slice of melted cheddar cheese. It came with lotus root chips instead of fries. Yummm! The Spicy Classic OmniPork Meatball Pasta (HKD138) wasn't too spicy for me, my verdict? So good!

友人や同僚を食事に誘う時、日本語では「軽く食事でもしない？」と表現することがありますが、英語ではどのように表現するのでしょうか？今回は、アメリカでよく耳にするフレーズを2つご紹介いたします。

1) Grab a bite
→「軽い食事をする / 軽食をする」
--------------------------------------------------　
　
「Grab a bite」は軽食をすることを意味し、誰かを食事に誘うシーンでは「Let’s grab a bite.（軽く食事でもしよう）」の形でよく使われます。「Grab a bite」は「Grab a bite to eat」を省略した表現で、会話では両方が使われます。
　
✔BiteをLunchやDinnerに置き換えて、「Grab lunch（ランチに行く）」や「Grab dinner（ディナーに行く）」、「Grab drinks（飲みに行く）」のように表現することもできる。
　
＜例文＞
　　
Do you want to grab a bite? I'm hungry.
（ちょっと食べに行きませんか？お腹空いています。）
　
Let's grab drinks tonight.
（今夜、飲みに行きましょう。）

Snack（スナック）と聞くと、日本ではポテトチップス等のお菓子をイメージするかもしれませんが、英語では「軽食」や「軽食をとる」の意味として使われており、お菓子に限らず、パンや果物などを食べる時にも用いられます。一般的に「〜の軽食をとる」は「Snack on ____」の形で表現します。
　
＜例文＞
　　
I want something to snack on.
（何か軽く食べたいな。）
　
Do you have anything to snack on?
（何か軽く食べれる物ある？）

A: I'm so hungry. Do you have anything to eat?
