Welcome to another Frugal Friday , today we are outside testing a tiny frugal $25, which is the Saramonic SR-XM1 https://amzn.to/32skqrg . A very compact mic that would easily fit into your pocket, there is also a mobile version the Saramonic Mini Smartmic https://amzn.to/32u4jte . If the audio quality is good, this would be an ideal microphone for Youtubers and vloggers, especially being so small and light to travel with. Checking out rigs on Amazon I spotted the Movo SV1000 https://amzn.to/2wClXPT which is a foldable modular rig for $15 USD and bought one to check it out first, so you don't have to.
Its does what is says and can me made into a selfie stick, tophandle, gunstock rig or even a cage that can be collapse into a small package under the camera. However it only locks down in 45 degrees sections making it hard to get it into more comfy shapes. Also the sections shapes are not particularly shaped nicely to hold.
Well it does it job and it is quite sturdy just not really comfy, so it really depends if you go for ergonomics or the functions.

I spotted a $15 USD DSLR Shoulder Rig from Cowboystudio https://amzn.to/2tVpOq1 , so I ordered it as was skeptical how well something would work for such a cheap price.

Also because it is a shoulder rig it is modular so you can upgrade parts over time when it is needed and for its price it is a nice startup rig to work with. Another change I made was to change the grip, as I don't like the silicon feel of the grip.
