This is SU MISU’s Solo photo exhibition after showing in Kaohsiung and Taichung. The event lasts only two days to mirror how fast time passes with different events taking place in a marathon style over a limited time period, including an opening tea party, the artist’s talk, DJ and live performances. In addition to viewing the exhibition, the audience is invited to contribute - there is a temporary photo studio built in the space for the audience to participate in both viewing and producing this limited work in this particular time and place.

░░About Book 《ihategoodbye.》
This is a product of this passing stage. It contains two seperated parts, the visual and the text. To me, taking photographs is no longer as simple as recording what everyone appears to be; but a way of looking at my past/dead images and accepting my alienated/live existence. From a perspective of the main narrator,I looked closely at how I felt that I did not want to be parted with the "that-has-been" moments just before pressing the shutter.
The first "ihategoodbye" says good bye to the past. The aura has gone in a twinkling. The still images stay. Time moves, and the image passes (away).
The second "ihategoodbye" says I do not want to see you. Not wanting to be parted because what was photographed is the "old you", but what I see is the "new you". You are still on-going. The virtual images reflect the reality, nontheless, are added with the unstability of alienation and enstrangement. As per J. Lacan's Theory of Mirror Stage, similar to images in the mirrors, one may falsely recognize the images in the photographes as oneself, but the images are never as real as the ever changing realities.
The text, Diary, is the record of an intimate relationship between 2010 to 2012. BDSM practitioners are almost always particular about privacy, so that the images were transformed into words. The words may then be visualised and evolved into images.
At last, this is a collection of the fragments of the past. This is the ultimate relic that says, "Good bye".
░░SU MISU’s Introduction｜
Born in Taipei, she is a photographer and BDSM model. Su Misu is known for her practice in exploration of gender, BDSM and sexual minority topics etc... And coming from the medical background, she’s therefore also interested in the “Synthetic”, the “Unnatural”, and all sorts of embodiments. Using photography to discuss the struggle between the real and the illusory. Besides photography, she is also a performance artist, and is an event planner.

April is the month of Cherry Blossom! However we are all staying home and missed the beautiful scenery. The Japanese folk song Sakura, Sakura is what inspired me to create this song in the first place.

Day 4 in the amazing Varanasi, the holiest city in India setting out on a boat tour and getting drowned in paint!

The more time I spent in this city, the more I have come to love it. The energy, the people, the scenery and ambiance. It's really quite spectacular. It has definitely become a winner among all the places we visited in India.

Early start to the day, walking down to the ghats of Varanasi to meet the fixer who organised a sunrise boat tour across the Ganges River for us. Bella had some stand-uppers she had to get through, so we worked on them while waiting for the boat to come.
It was pretty chilly on the ghats without the sun to keep us warm, but the view of the rising sun was MAGICAL! It was so worth it to wake up early for that experience. I've never seen such a clear sunrise like that before. And with the birds flying around overhead, it made it even more special.
We got dropped off on the other side of the Ganges to a spectacle of people bathing in the water. I'd not seen anything like this on the other side of the river. Whole families and elderly folk swimming together and washing off. Highly entertaining.
Once that was over we went back to the hotel and freshened up. Had some breakfast and then straight out the door and through the streets of Varanasi, to visit a festival that was going on a few minutes away.
The holi festival isn't actually for a couple of days still but there was a famous guru down from Kolkata and his followers wanted to celebrate Holi with him, so they did a pre-holi 'Holi' celebration. It was my first time seeing this celebration and my first time having paint wiped across my face.
Was not expecting to get dirty at all, but our fixer, Rajeev, was having none of it and coloured my face a lovely shocking pink colour. hehe.
Getting back to the hotel and washing off the paint was such a relief. It took as about an hour each to fully clear all the paint off us which was painstaking. also took us a number of trials and errors before we found the magic solution to removing it. BABY OIL!
We had more things to film that evening, so we left the hotel in the late afternoon and went in search of Varanasi's famous BLUE LASSI shop. Hidayat had been going on about the lassi at this place for so long that it was compulsory for us to stop by for a visit.
After trying it, I understood what all the hype was about. Definitely worth a try if you are in Varanasi.
Day came to an end walking back to the hotel. We actually visited the evening Aarti along the ghats, but I didn't have enough time in my vlog to include it. So I'll save that for another day.

Our Core Spirit
Two Taiwanese street dance groups for children, DSDJ and Monsda, have worked together to present《The United Monsters》 , which is all about love! They are united by the spirit of “Dance for Love & Hope” and the idea of “Dance Love Everywhere”.
Children’s Infinite Power!
Within their small frames, there is vast innocence and energy powering the children’s dance with dreams. Even children can have great influences when they all unite for the same goal. Street dance is the way of their self-expression, dancing outside the box of language barrier. The audience gets to focus on nothing but the dance itself, witnessing the pure innovation, life and diversity of Taiwanese street dance.
Monster Village, Taiwan
We traveled around in Taiwan and chose ‘Xitou Monster Village’ (Yaoguai Village) in Lugu Township, Nantou County as the background for “The United Monsters“. There is a folk tale about the close relationship between Taiwanese people and nature which originated from this village. Legend has it that it was built to commemorate the heartwarming interaction between Katsuichi Matsubayashi and native animals. As Matsubayashi was himself an orphan, he symathized with the orphaned Kuma, a sun bear, and Bado, a cloud leopard, so he adopted them and took them under his wing . Inevitably, it was soon time to bid painful farewell when Kuma’s and Badou’s appetite increased with their maturity. Matsubayashi released them to the wild with sorrow. One day, he ran into monsters in the forest. Kuma and Badou immediately appeared and rescued him. This story implies the warm relationship between Taiwanese people and nature as well as the concept of animal conservation.
Our Goals
Our production team wishes to promote love, care and respect for all life forms and relationships to people through “The United Monsters“. Such union can build a better society. We support and encourage children to learn about street dance and virtue simultaneously with good attitudes which will cultivate a more active and positive dream and life for the next generation. A-King, our dance choreographer, has always seen the spirit of ‘Dance for Love & Hope’ as his teaching philosophy, hoping he can influence children of the next generation to dance for love instead of competition. Our vision is to bring Taiwan to the world stage for more people to see Taiwanese child street dance, culture, scenery, hospitality and legend.
