Start the week off right by moving your body in some way to get the blood flowing and endorphins going. For those of you experiencing PMS or on your period like me right now, it’s especially important to do something, anything, even if it’s just some light stretching. Helps to relieve cramps and backaches and is a great mood booster when you feeling in a funk. If you’re anything like me, it can be extremely tough to get going and to block out allllll those excuses blah blah blah but trust me, it’ll be worth it. Stop thinking about why you can’t or won’t, throw on a pair of tights, pull out that mat and just get to it. 💪🏼 You’ll thank yourself afterwards I promise. 💙

I consider myself very lucky when it comes to my journey during pregnancy, delivery, and postpartum. I’ve learned more about my body and what it can do and I am just blown away by how amazing a female body is with adapting and healing. (Photo 1) Just after 2 weeks of delivering my beautiful boy, breastfeeding alone helped my stomach shrink back to almost normal. (Photo 2) Then at 1 month postpartum, after doing some belly binding with @restoringmums I could see my belly firming up. (Photo 3) And now, after slowly getting back into exercising, first with some pilates to regain awareness in my inner core, then dancing to get some cardio and feel good, and of course, getting back into my yoga practice. I’m content with my body even if it looks slightly different from pre pregnancy. The most important thing is to feel good in my own skin, be healthy, and to love my little boy. 💕💕💕
