畸寶當年

如沒記錯，有線電視Cable TV 1993年創台時，是DDB廣告公司負責它整個launch的大型企劃。

那時我還未畢業，未返港，未入DDB，但到我後來加入了這廣告公司之後，清楚記得創作部有顯眼的空間，是充斥著畸寶廣告稿的。草稿、打稿、比稿的稿，不是給貼起來就是Visualizers的位子上至少有幾張。

我是百佳team，不是Cable Team，後來間中也客串過幫拖做一些cable的廣告。記得當年把客戶成功爭奪回來的，是澳洲的Creative Team。

我聽得最多關於這次pitch的戲劇，是大老闆一位姓吳的先生，聽了整個presentation之後唯一的comment是：「個slogan，我想X個字，唔想Y個字」。真實數目我記不起了，但同事之間引以為談，驚嘆大老細即是大老細，唔同你講口號意思、字眼、造句、聲韻，淨係同你講：字數。

為什麼呢？又冇解釋：高呀。

是真是假，我也是道聽塗說，沒參與會議的我無從fact check，但就成為了創作部之間一時之話題，大家碰面時會無厘頭亂說：「唔要6個字，我要5個字，ok？」

然後笑作一團。

喬今天又要分享八種寫作句型了，各位同學不妨也試著造句看看吧！相信這些句型對各位同學是有助益的：

☛ make a career of 在…方面有所建樹; 以…為生涯
e.g. Caroline is trying to make a career of her cupcake business, which she found promising in the future.
凱瑞萊正嘗試著以她發現非常有展望的杯子蛋糕生意做大事業

☛ bring…under control 對…加以控制; 使…得到控制
e.g. At present, many governments are going out of their ways to protect the natural environments from being severe contamination, but it seems rather late to bring the situation under effective control.
目前很多國家政府盡力保護自然環境免於嚴重污染，但要使這情況獲得有效控制似乎為時已晚

☛ bracket ….with 把…與…相提並論
e.g. It is not appropriate to bracket your pains in the project with the mistakes you have done.
把你做計畫所付出的艱辛與所犯的錯誤相提並論是不恰當的

☛ make no bones about 對…毫不猶豫; 毫不掩飾
e.g. Caroline made no bones about the intimate relationship with the manager and even seemed to take pride in it sometimes.
凱瑞來對於跟經理的親密關係毫不掩飾，有時甚至似乎對此感到驕傲

☛ put a blot on …使…留下污點; 損害…的名譽
e.g. The producer ‘s love affair with the star put a blot on his copybook and thus, he had no only degraded himself, but also done great harm to the company’s image.

accuse sb of Ving 控告；指責某人於某事
e.g. At present, plenty of parents accuse school teachers of their indifference to their children’s psychological development.
目前有很多家長指責學校老師對於他們小孩的心理發展漠不關心

be adjacent to 與…比鄰; 連接; 靠近; 貼近
e.g. The fancy hotel is within a walking distance to Time Square and is adjacent to the two major shopping malls in the city.
這個精緻的飯店距離時代廣場非常近，而且非常接近此城市的兩個大賣場

have an affinity for 對…有吸引力; 喜歡
e.g. The truth is that if you have an affinity for a person, you overlook most of his or her imperfections. That is why love is blind.
事實上就是如果你喜歡上一個人，你會忽略掉他/她大部份的不完美之處。這就是為什麼愛情是盲目的

be aggrieved at 因..感到焦慮; 對…感到悲傷
e.g. Caroline’s mother is rather aggrieved at her having been taking drugs since her high school.
