這張The Cranberries的精選大碟Stars（The Best of 1992-2002），當第一首歌曲"Dreams"播放後，從喇叭傳出樂隊主音Dolores O'Riordan的歌聲，香港樂迷一定會聯想到王菲，其實Dolores 這把高亢有力的歌聲，非常獨特，不止是王菲，對後來很多女歌手也帶來一定影響，在歌聲中表現出Dolores的影子。而剛才提到這首"Dreams"，更被王菲改編成"夢中人"。不過可惜在2018年1月15日，在倫敦錄音的Dolores突然離開人世，享年46歲，之後到同年9年才公布死因，稱她是酒醉不慎在酒店浴缸內溺斃，相當使人惋惜！
The Cranberries這隊來自愛爾蘭樂隊在90年代成立，1994年正式開始走紅，廣為人認識，不止英國本地，在美國也廣受觀迎，就如上文所說，甚至影響很多歌手演唱方式。根據1993年至受今的統計，樂隊的專輯總銷售量超過700萬張。
今次這張Stars專輯是2002年首次發行，內容是精選至1992年到2002年樂隊黃金年代的精彩作品。而今次是將這張專輯SACD化後再次發行，可以聽到音質相當不錯，就如上文提到Dolores高亢有力的歌聲，完全沒有刺耳的感覺，喧鬧的搖滾樂聲也不會有嘈炒感，加上整張SACD精選了20首歌曲，包括Dreams、Linger、Zombie、Stars等等，所以這張絕對值得紀念的專輯，亦可來懷緬Dolores的歌聲。

Dolores O'Riordan一直以來都是我唱歌學習的對象，也是我大學時期最崇拜的歌手，她獨特的唱腔總是唱進我心坎裡。一直有一個小小的心願就是可以存錢買機票去看她現場的演唱會，如今就算存到錢了也再也看不到現場演出。
RIP，我最欣賞的女歌手Dolores O'Riordan，一路好走。
Dolores O’Riordan, a singer whom I admired and learnt from most during my college years, she had inspired me deeply; her unique voice goes straight into my heart always. I had a tiny wish, I will save money for flying to her concert someday; I can’t see her anymore even now I’ve got it all ready.

In memory of the lead singer of The Cranberries, Dolores O’Riordan.
The first song that I listened to by The Cranberries was Zombies, when I was back in Community College in San Jose, USA in 2007. I just left my hometown Hong Kong and went to California to pursue my studies. It wasn’t my best times because of issues with family and homesickness. But Dolores’ voice comforted me, made me feel hopeful and better. Thank you:)
