求職攻略(二)-Application Letter/Cover Letter
Apply一啲Scholarship同knowledge-based啲嘅工時CV係唔夠嘅，通知都會要求Application letter，呢封信最主要就好似一個深入版嘅CV(一頁內完)，係俾你一個機會去證明自己係合適嘅candidate，當你明白呢點嘅時候，其實寫嘅時候就會得心應手。
1️⃣ Content
唔同人寫Application letter都有佢自己格式，我自己就係以性格嚟分段，通常開兩至三段，先話俾佢聽我係一個xyz人(e.g. experienced teacher, active and passionate learner, teamplayer, etc.)，我有xyz經驗(俾examples)，令我學識咗xyz(i.e. 某方面skills, knowledge同experience)。其實就好似做Paper 3 Integrated Task咁簡單，你要執CV啲points入你application letter, 但要做elab嚟做supporting evidence，切忌將個job experience丟落去就完咗，咁佢就咁睇你CV都得啦，係咪？
2️⃣ Grammar/Language
如果CV係first impression, 咁application letter就係first interview，你試幻想下有個講嘢一嚿嚿嘅人去interview, 佢in到嘅機會都微咗好多，如果要請一個要寫嘢嘅人，你封Application letter就係最直接反映你嘅英語能力，所以send出去之前基本一定要check grammar同spelling，再advanced啲就係執靚啲language啦。👍🏼
3️⃣ Tone
求職求職，話曬都有個求字，唔好咁串啦，顯示自己係valuable asset同威脅employer唔請你會係佢損失係兩樣嘢，humble啲之餘objective啲，啲字唔洗用到咁有感情㗎啦，我通常避免用太多情感嘅adjectives。最重要係俾人覺得你professional同confident, 寫啲嘢要係firm嘅。成日講嘢寫嘢唔啱tone嘅揾識英文又信任嘅大人俾啲意見你啦。🤓
