最近看完一本目前為止令我印象深刻的一本書。它叫”Educated” by Tara Westover，中文翻譯應該叫做「垃圾場長大的自學人生」。（不是直接翻譯「教育」😂）
她17歲才踏進人生中第一所學校，9歲才拿到出生證明，她沒有任何醫療記錄，也沒有任何入學記錄。在9歲靠著親戚上法院宣誓她的身分才拿到出生證明以前，就州政府及聯邦政府的定義來說，她並不存在。在這種環境下成長的她，怎麼進入大學的，怎麼自己自學每一個課程的，都在這本僅僅只有334頁裡的這本書記載著。
“Everything I had worked for, all my years of study, had been to purchase for myself this one privilege; to see and experience more truth than those given to me than my father, and to use those truths to construct my own mind. I had come to believe that the ability to evaluate many ideas, many histories, many point of view, was the heart of what it means to self-create.”
