回國，選了茨廠街入口處的隔離酒店，一戶窗成了日常。
望著捷運車廂、馬銀行大廈、電訊塔、雙峰塔，原是車水馬龍的中心地帶，如今顯著稀疏空蕩，彷如一座悲城。

與世隔絕，有幸參加了北美洲最大型的類型影展之一，因疫情改為線上舉行的“第25屆加拿大蒙特利爾國際奇幻電影節 - 25th Fantasia International Film Festival, Canada“。今年有超過100部電影參展，可惜只來得及看了一部慕名的香港作品，由許鞍華、徐克、杜琪峰、袁和平、洪金寶、譚家明和林嶺東合作的《七人樂隊 Septet : The Story of Hong Kong》，故事從50年代橫跨至2020年，說盡幾代香港人的往事，尤其喜歡許導的那一段《校長》，流淌60年代的 “天水圍” 情懷，從中更體悟香港人不變的堅毅。

昨晚落幕，影展方最後一刻捎來消息，《南巫》獲頒「 AQCC-CAMERA LUCIDA PRIZE 加拿大影評人協會電影獎」，傳來一段評審評語：“For its contemplative atmosphere, its fantastic cinematography in which reality collides with surrealism, and its portrait of evaporating cultures, the AQCC-Camera Lucida jury gives its award to the Malaysian film THE STORY OF SOUTHERN ISLET. ” 藉此，與電影全劇組，共享榮焉。

8月國慶，別無所求，唯盼一切 “苦難” 盡早過去。
僅以此片，獻給我的國家。

一個來自美國、一個來自英國、一個來自奧地利，恭喜蔡依林《甜秘密》MV，與所有參與此計畫的夥伴們。這是這八個月來累計的第17個國際影展肯定。

「美國Golden Door國際電影節」
創立於2010年，美國東岸最重要的電影節之一，不僅榮獲Movie Maker雜誌評選為50大值得報名的影展，更兩度被新澤西州舞台雜誌評為新澤西州電影節第一名。評選委員會由傑出的電影業專業人士和董事會成員組成，其中，知名作曲家Jerry Wonda、小賈斯汀、惠妮休斯頓等人皆曾擔任MV類的評審。今年電影節將於9月23至26日舉辦，大家可以集氣一下🙏

「倫敦New Renaissance影展」
倫敦新文藝復興電影節(NRFF)為來自世界各地的優秀獨立電影人藝術家提供平台。期望建立一個社群，聚集所有講述鼓舞人心故事的人。

「VIFF維也納獨立電影節」
VIFF維也納獨立電影節是一個非營利影展，致力於提供獨立藝術家和觀眾交流的舞台，激勵來自世界各地的獨立影像創作者，向觀眾介紹他們的新作品。除了放映選定的電影外，VIFF 還將在網站上以預告片的形式展示這些電影。電影節的參與者將包括電影、網路、有線電視、新聞界、唱片界等的高階主管、電視主播、作家、畫家、製片人、評論家和所有電影愛好者。將於10月1日至4日舉辦。

#蔡依林 #Jolin 蔡依林 Jolin Tsai

A turbulent journey of a girl travelling across the globe with high hopes & aspirations to seek life to it's fullest only for her dreams to be short lived and forced her to be confined indoors due to the pandemic which then restricted her to live normally again especially when there is no tell when the outbreak will subside. This music video is an invitation to come along on a rollercoaster ride of emotion that enriches the concept of life. A narrative created for the Carmarthen Bay Film Festival.

Personally, this is the most raw piece of filmmaking I have ever done because you will see the happiest and lowest I have ever been in my life. It was my privilege to share this story with you especially in the midst of this historic mark that affected the whole world. When I was editing this for the first time, I literally took 2 hours just to get myself together and not break down. This was an ongoing process till today (I'm much better now, don't worry hehe)

Initially the narrative for Better Half was supposed to be a love story that speaks on the levels of how complicated a relationship can be and to understand the depth of love, better. However, I had to scratch that idea out because my actors and my team had to go our separate ways due to the virus outbreak and social distancing.

Although the process went downhill, I think Better Half was told in it's best version now and I am so proud how it was constructed. I hope this music video gives some sort of inspiration to all of you that even though life will knock you down in the most unimaginable way possible, there is still light at the end of the tunnel. We just need to be brave to find it.
