鼻敏感屬過敏性鼻炎,是身體對致敏原出現過激反應所致,鼻敏感不是大病,但反覆發作的打噴嚏、流鼻水、鼻塞、痕癢為生活帶來很多不便。除了服藥及食療配合,日常生活與飲食習慣更是關鍵,以下這些生活細節原來會增加鼻敏感發作的機會!
🤧 水果早餐
適量食用水果有益健康,但如果經常進食水果或飲果汁做早餐,會造成脾胃虛寒,增加鼻敏感發作的機會。早餐宜吃溫暖脾胃的食物,例如粥、腸粉、通粉、番薯等。
🤧 飲食生冷
沙律、刺身、壽司、雪糕、凍飲、刨冰、雪櫃剛取出的水果等,但凡溫度低於室溫的食物都屬於生冷食物,會損傷陽氣及脾胃運作,增加鼻敏感機會。
🤧 過量運動
行山及跑步都是最時尚的運動,用來放IG就最型,但過量運動會消耗人體的氣,流汗過多亦會傷陰,毛孔張開時容易讓風寒入侵,鼻敏感容易發作,所以做運動要量力而為。
🤧 懶換床單
塵蟎是常見的致敏源,床單就是塵蟎的最大溫床,如果不勤於更換及清洗床品,容易令鼻敏感反覆發作。
🤧 最愛毛公仔
軟綿綿的毛公仔討人喜愛,而塵蟎亦非常喜歡藏身毛公仔之中,如果不能拋棄毛公仔,就要勤於清洗。
🤧 最愛風口位
夏日炎炎,對着冷氣或風扇風口位最舒服,但一時的舒服就惹來鼻敏感發作!鼻敏感患者宜避開風口位直吹位置,長備一件薄外套或披肩以免受風寒。

Bad habits that trigger nasal allergies
Nasal allergies are allergic rhinitis, and they are triggered by allergens. They might not result in severe health implications, but sneezing and having a stuffy, runny and itchy nose constantly can cause great inconvenience to our lives. Besides taking medicines and going through treatments, we also need to pay attention to our lifestyle and dietary habits, as they would increase the chances of us developing nasal allergies!
🤧 Fruits for breakfast
Consuming an appropriate amount of fruits is good for health, but eating fruits or drinking fruit juice in the morning all the time can weaken the spleen and stomach and may trigger nasal allergies. It is best to consume food that can warm the spleen and stomach for breakfast, such as porridge, steamed rice noodle rolls, macaroni, and sweet potato.
🤧 Raw and cold food
Salad, sashimi, sushi, ice cream, chilled beverages, shaved ice, and fruits taken out of the refrigerator are examples of raw and cold food. These foods can damage the yang energy and disrupt the functions of the spleen and stomach, triggering nasal allergies.
🤧 Exercise too much
Hiking and jogging are the two trendiest exercises, and many people would post their hiking and jogging photos on their IG. Over-exercising can exhaust the qi in the body, and excessive sweating can damage the yin. When our pores open, the cold-wind pathogenic factor can invade the body easily, causing us to develop nasal allergies. Hence, consistent moderate exercise is key.
🤧 Not changing bedsheets regularly
Dust mites are one of the most common allergens, and they tend to gather on bedsheets. If we do not change our bed sheets regularly, the dust mites can easily trigger an allergic reaction.
🤧 Soft toys
We like fluffy toys, but they are also dust mites magnets. Those who do not wish to get rid of their soft toys should wash them frequently.
🤧 Standing near the air-conditioning vent
Standing in front of the air-conditioning during the warm summer season is the best experience, but it would also trigger nasal allergies! Individuals with this problem should avoid standing in front of the vent. Do bring along a sweater or scarf wherever you go to avoid catching a cold.
Combating nasal allergies is a long battle, so we must be persistent in maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Drink a cup of rice water a day to strengthen the spleen and stomach as it can also help improve our general health.

備孕必學暖宮方法
子宮是女生身體裡最怕冷的地方,現代人多喝凍飲及常吃生冷食物,容易造成子宮寒冷,也就是俗稱的宮寒,宮寒除了導致痛經,也會令人較難成孕,如果準備懷孕,就要學會為子宮保暖!適量飲用能溫經散寒的茶療,睡前來個溫暖足浴,暖宮之餘亦能有助放鬆心情,好「孕」自然來。
黑枸杞南棗炒米茶
功效:溫經散寒,紓緩手腳冰冷、怕冷、痛經等症狀。
材料:黑枸杞6枚、去核南棗4枚(切粒)、炒米(1/3米杯)/炒米粉1包
做法:材料洗淨放保溫瓶,以熱開水沖洗一遍,注入熱開水焗15鐘即可。
此茶可反覆沖泡至味淡,建議一星期飲用2-3次,連續兩星期為一個療程。
備註:感冒未清者不宜飲用。
暖宮足浴方
功效:辛溫發寒、驅逐寒濕、促進血液運行。
材料:艾草20克、生薑連皮10片
做法:將材料放入水中,大火煮10分鐘,然後倒入盆中,加入適量冷水調至合適溫度(約攝氏40度),水量浸過腳跟,浸泡雙腳15-20分鐘。每晚睡前泡,連續3-5天為一個療程。

Warm your uterus to conceive
Aversion to cold is the most apparent in the uterus in a woman’s body. People of this era enjoy drinking chilled beverages and consuming raw and cold food, and this can easily cause the uterus to become cold, and such condition is called ‘gong han’, which literally means uterus in English.
A cold uterus can further cause menstrual pain, and lower the chances of conceiving successfully. For individuals who are ready to get pregnant, make sure you keep your uterus warm at all time! Drink an appropriate amount of herbal tea to warm the meridians and dispel cold; treat yourself to a warm footbath before sleep, as it can not only warm the uterus but also help you relax – which is an important contributing factor for pregnancy.
Fried rice water with black wolfberry and Chinese date
Effects: Warms the meridians and dispels dampness. Suitable to those with cold limbs, aversion to cold and menstrual pain
Ingredients: 6 black wolfberries, 4 pitted Chinese dates, 1/3 cup fried rice or 1 sachet of Fried Rice Water
Preparation: Place all ingredients into thermos, rinse once with hot water. Add in hot water and steep for 15 minutes until aroma develops.
This tea can be re-browed until flavour weakens. For best results, drink consecutively for 2-3 days. Two weeks for a treatment.
Recipe for cold dispelling feet bath
Effects: Keeps warm and promotes sweating, dispels cold and dampness, improves blood circulation
Preparation: Put all ingredients into a pot of hot water, cook on high heat for 10 minutes. Pour into bucket and add in suitable amount of cold water to suitable temperature (40 Celsius) . Soak both feet for 15-20 minutes. Soak nightly before sleep for 3-5 days.

【飲食禁忌】醫生,不戒口可以嗎?

筋骨酸痛戒口清單
遇上筋骨酸痛,中醫除了開藥及針灸等方法治理,更重要的是患者配合飲食忌口,因為藥食同源,適當調配飲食可以促進身體功能恢復,加快痊癒,宜適量進食活血化瘀食物例如田七、黑木耳等;亦宜適量食用補肝腎食物,例如枸杞子、黑芝麻、栗子、核桃等。為免加重症狀,不宜食用以下四類食物:
生冷寒涼食物:未經煮熟的食物,以及溫度低過室溫的食物,以及屬性寒涼的食物。例如刺身、沙律、雪糕、凍飲、山竹、蓮霧、西洋菜、通菜等。
原因:生冷食物過多容易損傷陽氣及脾胃,令脾運化水液功能失常,水液停滯生濕惹痰,加上寒性凝滯收引,更可引致筋脈攣縮。
動風發物:蝦、蟹、鰻魚、貝類、鵝肉、雞蛋、茄子、竹筍、菇類等。
原因:這些食物容易誘發或加重皮膚瘡瘍腫毒症狀,皮膚敏感、濕疹或蕁麻疹患者尤為禁忌。
生痰及滯氣發物:糯米、米酒、肥肉、棗類、牛奶、芒果、荔枝、榴槤等、大豆、南瓜、紅薯、芋頭等。
原因:屬肥甘黏膩之物,容易助濕生痰,影響脾胃功能,亦容易滯澀阻氣,進食後容易腹脹不適,肚腹脹氣人士、濕熱人士及濕疹患者不宜食用。
酸、辣、油膩食物:菠蘿、番石榴、梅、油炸食物、火鍋等。
原因:中醫理論認為「酸傷筋」,飲食酸味太過會令筋絡收縮,讓痠痛更明顯甚至抽筋;辣味過多則耗傷氣血;油膩食物過多則有礙脾胃運化。

Musculoskeletal pain and soreness: checklist on food to avoid
Besides prescribing Chinese medicine and using acupuncture to treat musculoskeletal pain and soreness, it is important for patients to watch their diet. As diet goes hand in hand with functional medicine to speed up the recuperation process, we should incorporate medicinal ingredients into our meals.
Do consume an appropriate amount of ingredients such as Panax Notoginseng (‘tian qi’) and white back black fungus, to improve blood circulation and resolve blood stasis. It is also good to consume food that will replenish the liver, such as wolfberry, black sesame, chestnut and walnut. To prevent the pain and soreness from worsening, avoid eating these four categories of food below:
Raw and cold foods: uncooked foods, foods served below room temperature, and foods that are cold in nature. For instance, sashimi, salad, ice-cream, chilled beverage, mangosteen, wax apple, watercress, and water spinach
Reason: Raw and cold foods have the tendency to damage the ‘yang qi’, the spleen and stomach, and deteriorate the spleen’s function to transport fluid in the body. This causes fluid stagnation, which subsequently contributes to the accumulation of dampness in the body and the formation of phlegm. Moreover, constriction caused by the cold will further lead to the constriction of the tendons and veins.
Wind-stimulating foods: prawn, crab, eel, shellfish, goose, egg, eggplant, bamboo shoot and mushroom
Reason: These foods can easily cause or aggravate all sorts of skin diseases. Individuals with sensitive skin, eczema and hives should avoid eating them.
Foods that induce phlegm and qi stagnation: glutinous rice, rice wine, fatty meat, dates, milk, mango, lychee, durian, soybean, pumpkin, sweet potato and taro
Reason: These fat and thick greasy foods cause phlegm production, affect the functions of the spleen and stomach, and stagnate the qi. It can also cause discomfort and bloating around the abdomen. Individuals with bloating problems, damp-heat body condition and eczema should avoid eating.
Sour, spicy and oily foods: pineapple, guava, plum, deep-fried foods and hotpot
Reason: Chinese medicine theorized that ‘sour injures the tendons’; excessive consumption of sour foods will cause tendons to constrict, hence causing soreness and cramps to be more severe. Eating too much spicy food on the other hand will hurt the blood and qi, whereas oily foods will hinder the functions of the spleen and stomach.

咖啡豆Ground coffee 24g
冰塊 Ice cube 150g
水Water 90度
Steps
1.以冷水浸濕濾紙 Pre-wet the filter with room-temperature water
Tip: 可以保持濾杯與玻璃壺較低的溫度 This step can keep the dripper and vessel in lower temperature
2.將冰塊放入玻璃壺 Put the ice cube in the vessel
3.咖啡粉倒入濾杯 Add the ground coffee to the filter
4.用手輕拍使粉平整 Gently tap it to level the surface of the grounds
5.首先注入約30g熱水,進行悶蒸 Slowly pour 30g hot water and create a blossoming effect
6.以細水注均勻緩慢地繞圈Pour water slowly and move in a steady spiral toward the center of the grounds
7.注水總量為200g Bring the total to 200g
8.沖煮時間約為2:30 Brew time is about 2:30
9.移開濾杯 Remove the dripper
10.搖晃玻璃壺,讓冰塊與咖啡均勻融合 Move the vessel to mix the coffee and ice properly
【冷萃咖啡 How to make Cold Brew】
冷水 Water 300g
淺焙咖啡粉 Light-roast ground coffee 50g
玻璃瓶 Jar
咖啡粉Ground Coffee:水Water=1:6
Steps
1.倒入咖啡粉Add ground coffee
Tip: 咖啡粉磨至砂糖粗細,太細咖啡易混濁 Grind the beans very coarsely. A smaller grind will result in cloudy coffee.
2.加入冷水Slowly add water
3.拌勻,讓咖啡粉充分浸濕Use a wooden spoon to make sure to all grounds get wet
4.蓋上蓋子Cover the lid
5.放入冰箱冰16-20小時Refrigerate for 16-20 hours.
6.倒出,過濾咖啡粉 Filter the ground coffee
7.依個人口味兌水或加入牛奶Add ice, milk, or your other favorite coffee things and enjoy.
8.冷藏可保存3-5天Keep it chilled in the refrigerator. It will last for 3-5 days
