Time flies. My second book has been published for 2 years already. Nothing is more interesting than seeing someone in the train / the street / a cafe reading the book written by myself. Nothing is more valuable than receiving hundred of thank you emails and messages telling me how they are inspired after reading my book. The satisfaction is just ineffable.
One of my readers commented in google play:
//I would highly recommend reading this book if you aspire to have freedom to work or do whatever you want. This is a highly practical book that will make you not only richer in your wallet but also in your heart. I was impressed with this book for three reasons. Starman writes from his own experience from working for a capital market firm to feeling dispirited by the office politics to building passive income to gradually redeeming his own freedom to create multiple active business ventures in so many different areas. He shares selflessly about what he does now and how he does it, which I have learned tons during the process of reading the book. Personally, I think Starman's story was inspiring and lays down a path for people like me who are where they want to be but aspire to be there someday. More importantly, he offered a view on what can be fairly achievable for aspiring professionals in Hong Kong resonates with me. He also offered very useful advice for the young and those close-to-retire. Finally, I appreciated his writing and storytelling story - I find it hard to struggle between witting in proper Chinese and speaking in the local Cantonese. He did a nice job of adding just a bit of Canto to make local readers feel closer to him from time to time. His storytelling reveals that he's a highly practical man - he doesn't try to woo you by telling you how low of a background he came from nor does he try to tell you he is smart. He tells it like it is and encourages readers to not just copy what he does but replicate his thinking behind it. And, it's up to the reads to decide what to do with the information. This is one of the few Hong Kong authors on wealth creation subjects that I have read and was surprised by the practicality of the content and insights in local and Asia economics. The best thing is this guy, unlike others, are not trying to sell you a course on how to buy craps like bond funds. He tells you what he did, what he's got, and how he did it. I truly believe for anyone who's on their path to seek financial freedom would love this book.
