Yes, you can tell I love my dessert hot soup aka tong shui. I am a Cantonese ma and I did grow up having amazing tong shui from my Poh Poh and Mom. Hong Kong has the best tong shui places which I can't stop thinking about. Here is one which I make the best and very often for my team and friends. It is Fu Chuk Yi Mai Tong Shui. Fu Chuk means beancurd. Yi Mai means Barley. All the elderly always tell us to consume this soup more, so that we will have good complexion and fairer skin. When I was pregnant, my Mom and Aunt cooked this very often for me too. Hopefully my babies will come out pretty fair. LOL. I just love the taste of it. Don't care if I will be fair. I prefer my skin colour now anyway. I can never find a good one in town, hence I cooked myself. Over the years, I have changed and added soya milk and corn to the soup base. Thanks to my Aunt who showed me once in one of her tong shui. U will fall in love with this one. Trust me.
Ingredients for 8 pax/ 4litres :
. 100 g barley
. 30 pcs ginkgo nuts, remove shell and skin
. 2 sheets of flat beancurd skin
. 2 dried beancurd sticks
. 5 to 6 pcs pandan leaves
. 1 pack of bee rock sugar (up to individual taste) or any sugar
. 2 litres of water
. 15 hard boiled quail eggs, remove shells
. 2 litres of sugarless soya milk
. 1 whole corn (just the kernels) or 1 can
The benefit of this tong shui : Ginkgo nut consumption lowers cholesterol levels. Barley is a particularly rich source of fiber, molybdenum, manganese and selenium. Barley packs lignans, a group of antioxidants linked to a lower risk of cancer and heart disease. Fu Chuk and soy are like tofu, they are high in protein, low fat, high fibre and rich in vitamins and minerals such as B vitamins and magnesium. Quail eggs are a great source of protein. It contains large amounts of vitamin C and vitamin A, which can help neutralize free radicals and protect your health. Corn can aid with digestion, it has zinc, magnesium, copper, iron and manganese. Wow, it is a bowl of fantastical soup! Enjoy guys.

⭐ Dry Fried Hong Kong Yee Mee With Fresh Water Prawns
Auntie Sim Kitchen's signature dish, this dry fried Hong Kong Yee Mee was extremely tasty with all the essence and taste from fresh water prawns being absorbed into the noodles! The fresh water prawns were so huge!! I also noticed the texture of the Yee Mee is different from what we usually had because Auntie Sim uses Yee Mee imported from Hong Kong.
⭐ Stir Fried Angus Beef with Black Pepper
Very juicy and tender stir fried Angus beef from Auntie Sim's kitchen! I'm surprised to be able to eat such high quality beef dish in a Chinese restaurant.
⭐ Claypot Braised Tilapia with Bitter Gourd
Love the taste and fragrance from this fresh Tilapia fish as it was cooked perfectly with bitter gourd and black bean. The bitter gourd doesn't really taste bitter as it has been neutralized by the black bean and other ingredients. Genius!
⭐ Auntie Sim Teochew Crispy Duck
Can't say no to perfectly marinated crispy duck. It's crispy outside and juicy inside! If I could, I'd make duck porridge with it.
⭐ Teochew Traditional Prawn Balls
These crispy golden brown prawn balls are totally addictive. Best eaten with their homemade chilli dipping sauce for extra oomph!
⭐ Nai Pak Dried Sea Prawn and Black Fungus in Superior Soup
I appreciate this hearty soup especially during rainy days. The sweetness from Nai Pak is very comforting to the soul!
⭐ Iced Cold Thai King Coconut with Avocado
Don't miss Auntie Sim's signature dessert! This creamy avocado dessert is infused with coconut water and comes with generous serving of sago. What a refreshing treat to end the meal!

Keen eyed eaters will notice after an abrupt management change, this Signature Dessert got upgraded to Version 2.0 (Seafood banquet wise, feedback is mixed so will have to reassess separately). The French Toast is square shaped neatly & if you see the slits, are individually sandwiched with Peanut butter 🥜. Cow Butter is carefully hand diced to melt evenly, and we asked to drizzle the Condensed Milk on top DIY style. Definitely a contender for No. 1 Best French Toast in Hong Kong, albeit I know better in Macau 😂

雜魚魚湯 Mixed Fish Seafood milky Soup. Another Signature, we were saying how for Fishermen who eat their daily meals here, they know the flavors of small fishes are perfect for this boiled down recipe. The larger prettier fishes bigger than say 1.5 Taels are sold to restaurants or buyers coz that's what pays the school fees and wages 😬

Vegan lifestyle Passion 是我這幾年最常光顧的蛋糕店,店主Amy也是vegan,其蛋糕主打有機、純素、健康、美味,使用的食材都非常講究。Amy更常常開課教大家製作蛋糕,她的課除了可以學習蛋糕製作外,我覺得更像是上了一節營養課。因為身為健康教練的Amy,十分了解營養學,也很樂意分享。
今次,Amy為我們示範了一款「香蕉黑芝麻忌廉小蛋糕」,材料簡單、很容易找到,要留意的是,最好用「芝麻蕉 (熟蕉)」;而且Amy和我都很喜歡食忌廉,又剛好我們發現了 OraSì OraSi Hong Kong 有一款vegan淡忌廉,所以我們便順勢把它加在小蛋糕上!一起看影片做蛋糕吧~

So vegan cakes are actually quite common, and there will be no guilt after eating, even making it yourself is not difficult!
Vegan lifestyle Passion is the cake shop I have visited most in recent years. The owner Amy is also a vegan. Her cakes are mainly organic, vegan, healthy and delicious. The ingredients used are very particular. Amy often teaches people how to make cakes. In addition to learning cake making, her class is more like taking a nutrition class. Because Amy, a health coach, knows nutrition very well and is very happy to share it with people.
This time, Amy demonstrated a "Banana Black Sesame Cupcake w/ Cream" for us. The ingredients are simple and easy to find. It should be noted that it is best to use ripe banana; Amy and I are both like to eat cream, and we found that OraSì OraSi Hong Kong has a vegan cream, so we added it to the cupcake! 舒適環境,個別熱食質素較高例如,紅酒會牛尾,椰汁燉塗膠,燉湯。
缺點:
選擇較少,食物補充較慢,在埸廚師不常在場!比較高級的食材只是出了一兩次便沒有再出。低cp值

Good environment. A few of the main dish was good in quality. Mainly the ox tail, chinese soup and a chinese dessert.

Less selection of food. Chefs is not attentive. Some quality dish was only out for a small limited of time. Low cp value
