因應高齡化社會來臨，為落實世界衛生組織提倡的「活躍老化」理念，弘道老人福利基金會帶領17位平均81歲「不老騎士」在2007年完成摩托車環台壯舉，自那一刻起，「不老精神」在台灣開始轉動，「不老夢想」一個接著一個迸發。
落成於1929年(昭和4年)的宮原氏別墅，是日籍眼科醫師-宮原武熊興建的住宅別墅，1945年，日本人遭遣返，由臺中市政府接收做為市長官邸使用。2016年，弘道老人福利基金會為呼應臺中市托老政策及活化歷史建築，以銀髮、文創、參與的「銀創參與」為規畫概念，打造「不老夢想125號」。藉由一個個不老夢想、一位位真人圖書長者、一份份兼具老智慧與新創意的食飲，傳遞心不老、夢不老、行動不老的不老精神。
In response to the arrival of aged society, and to demonstrate the principle of “active aging” promoted by WHO, Hondao Senior Citizen’s Welfare Foundation led 17 grandriders with an average age of 81 completed the motorcycle tour around the island in 2007. Since that time, the “Bulao spirit” began to spread in Taiwan, and “dreams never get old” emerged one after another.
Constructed din 1929, the Miyahara Mansion was originally the mansion of Japanese optometrist Miyahara Takeo. After the Japan’s defeat in 1945, Taichung City government took over the mansion, and it was converted into the mayor’s residence. In 2016, Hondao Senior Citizen’s Welfare Foundation responded to the city government’s policies of senior citizen’s welfare and revitalization of historical buildings, and adopted the concept of “senior citizens, culture & creativity , and engagement” to create the space, BULAO 125. When I was younger, I lived in Hanoi, Vietnam for about 5 years. And during weekends, I would visit Thuy An village with the students of my school, United Nations International School of Hanoi to play with the children. On the 13th of September 2015, THEJIANHAOTAN FOUNDATION visited Thuy An Village giving the people over $2000 worth of food, milk, snacks, soccer balls and toys.

Thuy An Rehabilitation Centre for Handicapped Children finds itself 13kms away from small town of Son Tay City and 70kms from down town of Hanoi Capital. Founded in 1976, the centre was originally opened for disabled children whose parents are the veterans infected with the Agent Orange, the toxic chemical used in American war. Over time, however, the centre has started to render its services to all disabled children. Thuy An Centre is a ‘campus’ housing up to 150 children and 50 staff. The children aged 6 to 18 suffering from mental or physical disabilities are provided rehabilitation, special education and vocational training.
The ultimate goal of the centre is to help the children re-integrate into society. While special education helps to lessen the burden of children’s families by teaching the disabled to help themselves with personal activities, the vocational training programs enable handicapped children to earn their living and able to live independently in the future.
