Has your #TravelItch gotten out of control lately? Well we've got good news! The inauguration of a travel bubble between #Taiwan and #Palau was announced earlier today by MOFA Minister Joseph Wu at a press conference, alongside Minister of Health Shih-Chung Chen and Deputy Minister of Transport and Communications Chi Wen-Jong.
Minister Wu also announced that the country's President Surangel Whipps Jr. will visit Taiwan from March 28 to April 1, his first overseas visit since his inauguration earlier this year. This will also make him the first head of state to visit Taiwan since the outbreak of the global #COVID19 pandemic.
The #TravelBubble not only shows the deep level of trust both countries hold in one another, but will also be an opportunity to further bilateral cooperation and is also aimed at reinvigorating the travel industry and stimulating economic growth in Palau.
